Who remembers Lego Aquanauts and Aquasharks?

The Aquazone theme was a pivotal part of my childhood... The colors, the factions, the accessories... Shiny crystals, bright plants, sharks, propellers. Very amazing. My friends and I wove such tales... Amazing stuff and happy memories.

The years passed. I don't even know why I started thinking about them again, but I did... And I thought back fondly to all the stories I crafted and I sort of longed for the day when imagination could take precedence. Then I was chatting with a friend of mine about if I could make a story set in that universe today, with great liberties...
I tried to decide between a clean story and a gay story and I decided a romantic, action filled story set in an immersive world would be best.
So I pose two questions;
1) Does anyone remember this Lego theme fondly?
2) Would anyone enjoy reading a story set in a fleshed out universe of it?
