This might sound a little weird, but I think now would be the worst time to pull out. I'm young and naïve so I'm not that good with politics, but I think if we pulled out now it would be like saying "The big bad wolf is dead! Anyone wanna go walk around by the bear caves, now?"
We would seem like such an easy target, thinking everything is safe now because of one man's death.

It's hard to say. Terrorism's like a weed, it'll just keep coming back no matter what brand of chemicals you use to kill it. Pulling out now might come off as a sign of weakness, but at the same time perhaps that's what's needed to draw out what's left of Osama's following or terrorist organisations in general. But I agree with Shiroi_Okami. Perhaps stabilizing your own country before trying to help out another would be best. If terrorism strikes again whilst you're on your back foot, you'll fall on your arse.

there is no victory in the middle east and i find it funny that many say pulling out is a sign of "weakness",sounds excatly like vietnam 50 years ago we didnt wanna withdraw because that would make us "soft on communism",the point is you cannot fight a unconventional enemy with coventional means and no our "hearts and minds" campaign has ended in failure just as it did in vietnam we've only earned the hatred and mistrust of many muslim and middle eastern countries, honestly forcing your ideals of democracy on a country that does not want or is not ready for it is also an even worse idea,if terrorism in the middle east is to end or to be cut down significantly it must be done by the people not foreign troops with guns,rockets and bombs,think for a minute who these terrorists are,they once were civilians who saw the U.S invasion of both Iraq and Afghanistan as an intrusion on our homeland,i think before we could even hope to call victory in the war on terror we must learn from the mistakes of the past specifically vietnam because a huge chunk of what the U.S has done in Iraq and Afghan. mimics Vietnam to a T,hell as the years grind on and the body count on both sides rise the american people turn more and more anti-war.

If they want to go into the dark ages, let them. We'll we waiting with open arms as soon as they're ready to come out of their wars and petty tribal fiefdoms which they certainly have every right to maintain (Although does them no favors).
For the next 20 years at least I see Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia being far behind the rest of the world. Allah save them when they run out of oil as we switch to hydrogen/solar/wind etc.

You know, their scientists are far more intelligent than the representations of their populace let on. I would actually love to work with them, but first I'll just wait for those governments to settle down first. Although I do agree on the oil bit. Unless if their scientists create high-capacity capacitors first, they'll be screwed for finding new sources of income for a while. Once that particular device is created, we can store large amounts of charge for longer and also keep it in a form that lasts longer than any chemical battery. That would be the thing that pushes electric cars into reality.
