DESCRIPTION:
The leaves on the trees have just begun to change colors, falling from their summer homes. There's a chill in the air from the changing seasons and the sky seems unusually dark this time of day; perhaps a storm is rolling in? There's a small town church isolated within a nearby field; from the looks it's empty and has been for quite some time. The siding has begun to wither, the paint peeling and there are a few cracked windows in the front of the building. Nestled beside the church is an old graveyard. The gravestones are few in number, but from the looks they have made a home here for quite some time.
It has been a week since he was transformed into a Dorumon and this change wasn't easy. Now he silently looked at the gravestones, wondering if any of those who are buried here had a similiar fate as him. Stranded in a different world with a different body. Stop thinking about this.
You have a Job to do!, he scolded himself. That's right! He had to deliver a small brown package to the groundskeeper. Even though he is the new shopowner of the Wishing Lamp he had to play the errand boy.
Suddenly he saw someone walking past the monoliths admiring them. He looked like a Canide. Maybe a Coyote? Sylex ran towards him.
"Excuse Sir!", he stutterd,"I am new around here but can you tell me, where I can find the groundsman?"
Ummm....what are you? Apparently, he was going to ask "Who are you", but the WHAT question seemed to have taken over...
After a short sigh, he continued: "I am a Dorumon, a canide Digimon. A digital monster if you will. I am the shop-owner of the Wishing Lamp. I have to deliver something to the groundsman."
Sylex showed the grey package to the coyote "Do you know where I can find him?"
Sylex lookded puzzeld at the groundskeeper. It was strange that the coyote didn't know this. The Wishing Lamp was pretty popular.
"I'll try my best to explain it to Sir, but i doubt that this will satisfy you."
Sylex takes a deep breath and started to talk. He explained that, the Wishing Lamp, like the name suggests, a magical Retail store of sorts is. It sells everyday product like coke, clothes, medicine and other. But the main attraction of the shop are the magical goods for people who desperatly wish for it. Most of the time people ask for those special products, but sometimes an order appears out of nowhere. Those are special deliveries, for people who might need it in near future. For Sylex it's the first time this happens.
"Sir, I am just here to delivere this package. My predecessor said it's usally something that will be needed in near future.".
Slightly irritated he gave the package to the Groundsman.
"You don't have to pay, since the delivery is free of charge, but I really want to know whats inside. Maybe you could open it. The suspension almost killed me. I would have opend it if it wasn't...you know magical. Only the Onwer can open it."
A sudden gust of wind blew the fallen leaves around the graves. It was clear that he could not convince the groundskeeper to open the package, but he also didn't care. But he knew the package will open on its own as soon as he left. Suddenly Sylex remembered something.
"Ähmm, Sir...I know this might sound strange but I also should give you this..." He swiflty grabbed a letter out of his pocket and gave it to him.
The Dorumon grabbed the paper and looked at it.
But All he saw a text written in the Latin Alphabet and in english.
"Are you sure you can't read it?"
The Groundskeeper only nodded silently. Sylex couldn't understand why but he only shrugged and started to read out loud.
Dear Friend! If you get this Gift, then it means I've passed away. I gave it to the shop-owner so you could stop the disaster. In this night something terrible will happen and only you and the young lad can stop this. Go to the Mausoleum and then you will understand, how dire the situation is, your old friend and mentor....
Sylex blinked. He could try as hard as he wanted but he couldn't read the Name.
"Okay....that's just creepy... can you read the last part?"
Examining the bottom half, he read: "PS...there may be cake at the end".
Coyder stared at it blankly, then looked at Dorumon. "I had an uncle?"
He thought of all the mausoleums in the cemetary. "Which one...there are three? One was just put up about three years ago...the other has been here since...well...1852."
The Coyote wast already moving away from Sylex, on his way to the mausoleums. Sylex blinked and ran after him. That guy....was quite bothersome.
"HEY! Wait up. You can't just walk off on me", he yelled after the Groundskeeper.
The Coyote stopped looking at Sylex for a second.
"How Rude! Running of like that how about you tell me if you know anything about Magic...or at least your Name"
Maybe he is a nice guy afterall, he silently thought.
"Nice to meet you Wolfgan and as I said I am Sylex. And even though I am a data and stuff I can at least utilize a bit to form some Ice. Most of the magical objects we sell in our shop isn't all that complex...I think."
Wolfgan looked at him a bit confused. Thats the look Sylex gets because he is bad in explaining.
"Long Story short: I can make Ice and otherwise I know as much about magic as you"
What is not possible in this World? Since Sylex came here, he saw so many different things. He himslef got transformed into a strange creature. But he shouldn't think about this. More importantly is what the things are that will await him and Wolfgan.
"Sooo where are we going? You are the groundsman here.", he asked the coyote
He almost wanted to tell Wolfgan about him beinga human in a different body...
It almost slipped, but he violently shook his head. He followed the coyote to the last of the three mausoleums. Completly in white it seemed like it was put here just yesterday.
Silently the dorumon touched the walls. This is one of that is actually the one that looks like the oldest here?
"You are kidding right??", he asked the Coyote, "in my worl....i mean my country the look antique...I'd say you are a perfect groundsman."
The iron door was beatifully made, pefectly fitting the theme of the mausoleum, but the thing that shocked him, were the locks. 20 different locks each with an unique way to open them. At least thats what Sylex guessed since he only understood how to open two of them. The first one of the row was a traditional one with a keyhole and the second needed a number-combination.
The dorumon touched the locks which were installed inside the door. There was sure no way to break the loock out of the door.
"Soooo, could you open it?", he asked Wolfgan,"I suppose only you know how to open it"
The groundsman chuckled, pulling out one of his three sets of keys. For 20 locks, only 3 of them were actually locks. The others were safeguards. He unlocked the 3rd, 13th, and 17th locks and all of them flew open at once. "There we go."
As they entered the Mausoleum, Sylex had to cough.
""Woah *cough*!!! Dust-allergy *hack* is kicking in*cough*!"
Indeed the chamber was full of dust and spiderwebs. Dorumon looked engrossed by the dirt that was piling up inside. "Lets look closely *hack*", Sylex coughed, "I am rather interested what we will find here *cough*"
"If you say so." The Tomb was bigger on the inside than he might have guessed from looks of the outside.
Never judge a book by its cover, huh?
Silently he looked at the graves of the furries there. Suddenly he felt remorse. Even in this world death exists. The dorumon wiped the thick dust asideon one of those graves.
Here lies Chan Loney Jr. , beloved Father and Husband. Sylex thought 1697-1841? Is this correct? He always wondered how long a furry lives, but over 100 years?
The dorumon shrugs. That was not important at the moment. Right now he and Wolfgan had to find the secret of the tomb. Suddenly something rumbled underneath them.
"W-w-wolfgan? D-did you just....d-do s-s-something?" , he stuttered.
A crack opend up right next to him.
"....lets get outta HEEEEEEEEEE!"
The Dorumon yelled the last words at he fell through the crack that suddenly got bigger and swallowed him. All the dorumon could do was scream. Scream in terror as he fell into the darkness.
Then he hit the ground.
"Urgh.", Sylex groaned in pain.
He looked up and saw Wolfgan from above. The hole wasn't that deep. The coyote was only 32 feet away from him. Surely the Groundsman could easily climb down here as he could climb up. Sylex fumbled at the triangle Gem on his forhead and it started glowing.
*Now I have light*, he thought and looked around, seeing a long corridor.
"Wolfgan? I think I found the passage!"
As he spoke the two followed the hallway. Even though Sylex knew that he just fell from a deep hole it looked more like violet pat of the mansion. He wondered why there was such a thing deep down of the tomb. As they reached the door, Sylex silently opend the door.
Each of them had a story written on them.
"I am kinda feeling...uneasy at this sight...", Sylex whispered.
He randomly picked an urn looking inside. Sure, it was probably a stupid idea and yes, Wolfgan was probably right, with it being filled with ash, but sometimes the dorumon was just curious.
And sometimes curiousity DOESN'T kill the cat.
The urn wasnt empty, but it also wasn't filled with ash.
It was filled with light!
Sylex almost let go of the urn. The light shined eluminating the whole hall.
Suddenly the whole room shifts, transforming itself into a hall.
Then it stopped and it reverted itself to the small room it was before...
"What was that?", the dorumon asked, more himself than his companion Wolfgan.
But the still someone answered "It something I need"
The two looked at the door seeing a shadowy figure
"Of course you can trust me. All I want is to give this world is fear and pain"
The Figure steps out of the shadow revealing a 6'5 feet tall white lion with golden hair. He was clothed, similiar like an ancient king, only wearing a white tunic, golden rings and necklaces all over him and on his shoulders rests a purple cape. His muscle looked like they could easily squash an apple between them.
"That doesnt sound very nice", the shopowner said
"Well it isn't", the lion replied.
"I see. But isnt th...."
"Just give me the damn urn!"
He jumps at the two, ripping the Urn out of Sylex claws.
The lion runs towards the door.
"Ok..." He said, standing there. "You are the magic person, now who was that guy?"
As the silently stood there, still in shock, finally Wolfgan ran after the Lion.
The dorumon sighted folllowing them. They ran through many doors until....
They reached a giant door made out of gold and full of Juwels.
Wolfgan looked at it for a while.
"I-Is *huff* s-something? Why *gasp* dont....*wheeze* w-we e-enter?", Sylex moaned. He never was good at sports and even now as a muscular Dorumon, he didnt gain the ability to run withouth gasping and moaning.
Suddenly he felt a strange wave ...of energy...
It was strange too explain, almost as if the next door....is filled with evil intent.
Whatever those two do...this might turn into a deadly fight between good or evil
(Sylex silently hoped that he was on the good side though)
