Elemental Red Pandas

ORIGIN:
How did this happen? It all started with Manda! Manda is a fire colored red panda. She was originally just a normal colored red panda many years ago: http://www.synchrastudios.com/galle.....by_synchra.png I created her in 2004 because my dad has always called me "Manda Panda" my whole life and I wanted a character based around the name. In 2006 or 2007 Rose Quoll designed a really awesome fire colored red panda tail which I bought. I changed the character to have an awesome FIRE FORM based off of it. (First drawing I can find of this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....dapandawoo.jpg ) Manda still has the "normal" form but I rarely draw it. (Ex: http://www.synchrastudios.com/galle.....pandasheet.jpg http://www.synchrastudios.com/galle.....andas+copy.jpg ) I love the twist that Rose created based on the red panda's nickname "FireFox" (Yeah, honestly it's not a fox name, and the browser's original mascot was a red panda!) I ended up creating a species of "firefoxes" who all had fire powers and had larger ears than normal, fluffier cheeks, and bicolored eyes to match Manda. (Ex: http://www.synchrastudios.com/galle.....oxredpanda.jpg ) The character has extensive meaning behind everything in the design but I think that's enough back story on her. In 2009 my good friend nevermint came to me asking if he could create a brother for Manda that was water based.. it didn't make any sense with my previous storyline of her being a fire panda and there only being fire pandas but I thought it was an awesome idea and I am always up for designing people red panda characters for money! lol!! So I designed him and threw the whole firefox concept out the window to create the new one ELEMENTAL PANDAS!

I am still working this out now but this is what I have so far. The elemental Pandas are based off the classical elements. The main 4 reoccurring elements are Fire, Water, Air, and Earth so I picked these as the elements for the 4 elemental panda family members. Originally it was just going to be Manda and Minty but Eris expressed interest in making another panda family member and of course then my brain goes "AIRIS" and I was like YES THIS MUST BE DONE. The main "family" will stay as the 4 elements and anything created beyond these 4 will be cousins. C: I don't want a huge immediate family. Lol. (4 kids is enough for these imaginary panda parents!)

DESIGNING YOUR OWN COUSIN:

There is also someone doing scientific elements too so if you wanna do that I guess you could too because we're running out of the classical elements. :P Or make up your own element, just make sure you don't use one that is already taken. (note me if you want to double check.) You can also mix elements to make new ones! I just ask that none of the designs are too similar to any of the previously created red panda designs in color and unique markings. I also ask that they still look like red pandas! No anatomy that is too wonky. Red Pandas are plantigrade (walk on their entire foot like a bear or a human, not the digits like a dog or cat) and they do not have pawpads (just fluff, like a rabbit http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped.....er_Panda_2.jpg ). The elemental pandas have some changes from normal pandas that occur occasionally like larger than normal ears, fluffier lynx-like cheeks, and bi-colored eyes. (Manda has all 3 of those but I try to vary one of them on the others, her family has all those weird genetic traits all over them though. :P) See the next section for some more designing help!

I'd be interested if it were a panda who is in control of the spirit world, and had to do with ghosts, spirits, poltergeists and the like. Like a ghost-type pokemon. I'd prefer grass-type but the wood panda covers that area. Lol
I suppose if there were past/present/future pandas (separately), Harp would be Past.
Anyway, just throwing ideas out there to see whats possibly available for me. Any thoughts?
