Looking around at all the furs out there, all the different shapes, sizes and what not that furs come in I was thinking: why? Why do we as the human creators choose these specific shapes and forms? why do we choose to be a dragon or a fox or a horse? This is a meme I'd like to start that maybe will let us all learn a little more about each other.

What is your fursona?
Tali Hartoh-Mason
Where did the name of your Fursona come from?
When I created Tali (back when dinosaurs walked the Earth or 1988, take your pick) as a good-natured swat at the then-new concept of lonely hyooman guys scoring with hawt furry babes for some consequence-free sex (Tali was introduced as carrying the Major's kids), she was inspired by Erma Felna, EDF (her current incarnation is more derived from Kitten Kaboodle, a one-shot character from "Tale Spin ca. 1991) so I wanted a name that sounded like it came from the Albedo universe. Rich Chandler, who's good at coming up with names, came up with "Tali Hartoh".
What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?
Since Tali was inspired first by Erma Felna and then Kitten Kaboodle, she's very female and very feline. :)
What color is your fursona and why? Hair/fur/eyes/etc
I love brunettes and tan fur, so...As for her eyes, depends on the artist. I originally designed her as having blue eyes, but they're green in some pics.
What is your fursona's personality and how does this compare to your irl personality?
Tali's a definite Heinlein gal, equally good behind the trigger, behind the steering wheel and between the sheets. She's a damned sight smarter, funnier and sexier than I am IRL. ;)
What is one item your fursona owns that is significant to you irl?
That one's a little trickier than you might think...See, I created the Temporal Corps as an excuse to buy toys and call it 'research material', so I have a lotta stuff that reminds me of Tali. Though you do remind me that I actually made a Tali action figure and jet years ago. I need to break that outta storage and photograph it. :D
What is one thing you thing you would say to your fursona if you could meet?
I suspect I'd be speechless if I met a beautiful catfemme face to face, followed by a "What the hell you doing HERE, lady?"
What is one thing your fursona would say to you if you could meet?
She'd probably grin at me and say, "Well, I wanted to meet my daddy..."
How has your fursona changed over the years?
Stylewise, she's evolved as noted above. Personalitywise, she's matured as I have, going from Selenian Defence Forces junior officer to Temporal Corps operative to her current semi-retirement as an instructor at the Wilde Home for Wayward Catgirls.
How long have you had this fursona?
Going on twenty years, now.
Would you like to be more like your fursona?
Well, Tali sortakinda reflects something of my feminine side, such as it is, so...

What is your fursona?
Sharra (original last name unknown by her)
Where did the name of your Fursona come from?
I saw the name Sharra when I was about ten in an Anne McCaffrey book, that was before I was old enough to create original names for characters, which is why I have characters with names like Sharra, Zephyr and Felicia, from those days, and characters with names like Kennocha now, lol
What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?
She was born human, actually, although now she's more of just a ..it's hard to explain, lol
What color is your fursona and why? Hair/fur/eyes/etc
In a human form, she's alabaster pale, with inky blah hair that has violet highlights and lavender eyes. It's just my idealistic combination of attributes.
In unicorn form, she has soft, sky blue skin, same hair and eyes, and white socks
What is your fursona's personality and how does this compare to your irl personality?
She's quiet, but strong. Intense, but demure. And an absolute and total hermit beyond all measure. I have my strong points, and I'm a social bug in action, but I would enjoy being a hermit, although that's an impossibility these days

The locket she wears around her neck.

(Marm, you wouldn't ask questions to your fursona, you'd be like - "Let's go, baby")

She's an autistic mute, she wouldn't be able to say anything, lol

Sharra started off being able to talk, she had two tattoos, and she fought with swords, LOL, but that phase only lasted like a year

I'd love to be her. I aspire to have a living quarters like hers =3
