Yeah, I found my balaclavas (joy! I've been looking for those little fuckers for like, a year, they were buried in the gunk of my closet D:), going to the beauty shop today to pick up a cheap, life-size mannequin head to use as a base (thanks to  cobie_da_coyote for the idea! :3), and stopping over at Jo-Ann's for some 1/2 inch foam sheeting.

I've got A LOT of supplies left over from previous projects that I've never finished, like a plastic bowl to cut eye blanks from, some sunglass lenses for the pupils, orange felt, white and black Fimo, et cetera. And LOTS of heavy-duty thread.

I REFUSE to give up on this like I've given up on every other fursuit I've made.
I HAVE THE WILL TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THIS, NO MATTER HOW TERRIBLE IT TURNS OUT.

Oh, right, and the fursuit itself will be my pokesona (basically just Junia as a Glaceon. xD). I'll also be refurbishing the old Junia fursuit head I got from  stitchstarfursuits like a year ago, putting hair on it and maybe sewing up some holes n' such. I've worn her to like, 3 cons and Halloween, and I've been having so much fun she's falling apart a tiny bit o3o

It's marvelously cheap, to be honest. Like, half the price of other furs. It has very nice colour, but has a tendency to clump, has slightly weak backing, and the grey has some shedding issues. Which would probably be why StitchStar started using different furs for her suits.

From my experience, this fur is FANTASTIC to work with, comes with a fairly long pile that looks just excellent trimmed down, and has lovely color. It's strong too, and easy to work with. The only issue is that it tends to spike a bit with wear (by which I mean it sort of forms into points), which may mean your arm sleeves or other high-motion areas may face that issue if you don't brush out constantly. This problem doesn't exist when trimmed down, though. They're also quite generous with by-the-yard measurements, but it may disappoint you to know that the minimum purchase amount is 1 yard. No half yards, which kind of sucks :c

So cheap, and the color looks really good! And they have every color I need. It looks almost exactly like SyFabrics fur, but it would probably be smart to order swatches first. I'll do that. :o

WIPs and the end product will be posted to  fennecfreakk, and if this suit turns out well enough I may relay commissions through it, if anyone is interested. I'll have a lot of free time this summer. xD
