Has anyone seen any sites about reversing female circumcision? Ever since I found Forgen, I've been curious to find if there are any organizations devoted to helping women that have been "circumcised." Although the cutting of young girls and women is practically non-existent in the United States, it does occur throughout Africa and the Middle East. So far, I have found one group called Clitoraid, which focuses on surgically restoring women's clitorises as much as possible. However, I have some reservations about this group since it was founded by the Raelians, a religious cult that believes life on Earth was created by aliens. There are other sites I've seen devoted to raising awareness about female circumcision, such as the Female Genital Cutting Education and Networking Project. http://www.fgmnetwork.org/ Although it doesn't talk about reversal, it is a good education resource.
