Reversing female circumcision?

Has anyone seen any sites about reversing female circumcision? Ever since I found Forgen, I've been curious to find if there are any organizations devoted to helping women that have been "circumcised." Although the cutting of young girls and women is practically non-existent in the United States, it does occur throughout Africa and the Middle East. So far, I have found one group called Clitoraid, which focuses on surgically restoring women's clitorises as much as possible. However, I have some reservations about this group since it was founded by the Raelians, a religious cult that believes life on Earth was created by aliens. The Clitoraid group was recognized by a 2009 Newsweek article. http://www.newsweek.com/2009/10/20/.....ndest-cut.html But what do you guys think of this site?

There are other sites I've seen devoted to raising awareness about female circumcision, such as the Female Genital Cutting Education and Networking Project. http://www.fgmnetwork.org/ Although it doesn't talk about reversal, it is a good education resource.

Well as far as I know there are several different types of female genital alteration. there is just plain circumcision which is the removal of the clitoral hood. but most people use female circumcision as the removal of the hood and clitoris as well. I do not know of any sights that have restoration of any sort, I know we had someone from the Doctors Opposing Circumcision group come to my college for a panel on circumcision they might have some information as he mentioned female circumcision some. You might try there.

Thanks. Do you remember who the person's name was? I was also thinking about maybe e-mailing Forgen and seeing if they were planning on researching restoration treatments for women.
