I'm getting the stuff necessary to host the 'Chicks 'n Giant Robots' themed contest I'll be holding soon, though those that'd like to enter can go ahead and get started whenever they like. ^ ^

I'm still trying to decide what prizes to offer but I've decided to start small at first. So for this first contest, there will only be 10 entries. So the first 10 that get their pis submitted will be entered. Any others that submit after the first 10 will be entered in the second contest I'll hold, so don't worry if you're a bit late.

For the first contest I'll be offering 3 main prizes. Since it's a 'Chicks 'n giant robots' theme, the prizes will be, chicks and giant robots! ^ ^ 1st place will get their choice a Gundam model kit or action figure, and a sexy anime girl figure. Something similar to those seen on this site. Prizes will vary due to price and availability.

2nd and 3rd place will have their choice of either one of the anime girls, or robot prizes.

The other 7 will receive a small prize as well, but it won't be as expensive as the first 3 prizes. What it will be will be a surprise.

Now, for the various themes that will be allowed for the contest. Remember, chicks and giant robots.

1. Super robots. 70's and 80's era types such as Getter Robo, Mazinger, and so on. Here is a good example.

Current age ones like Gurren Lagaan will be okay too. Basically any type of Giant 'Power Ranger' types.

The girl can be featured with the robot, or a shot inside of it's cockpit will be allowed. Don't forget to let her wear a spiffy costume and helmet! ^ ^ Bonus points for old school Super Robot attacks like eye beams, rocket punches, drill arms, etc.

2. Real-type robots. Cannon fodder military themed ones like Gundam, Robotech/Macross, Zone of the Enders, etc. Ones that carry machines guns and can kick tanks around. Transformable ones are cool too. Here's an example...

Female pilot in suits and in the cockpit are also allowed.

3. Mecha like combat armor. Like the Landmates from Appleseed and Ghost in the Shell. Small 'suit' like mecha, but nothing too big. Again, some examples.

4. Mecha cosplay. Girls dressed as giant robots. ^ ^ Or maybe a giant robot that looks like a girl. Here's some examples.

5. Mecha musume. Similar to the cosplay, but this time it's based off real life military things. Plane girls, tank girls, etc. And hey, more examples.

Okay, hopefully that'll be enough examples and rules to get things started. What I'm gonna do now is gather the funds to get the anime girl figures and model kits as well as to handle the shipping and handling.

Oh yeah, the contest starts...NOW! Submission due date will be on 01-01-08, New Years day. Turn it in early if you can because the first 10 submissions will be entered. Pics can be b/w, color, CG, and even flash animated. Me and a few other judges will decide the best of the bunch and any extra entries will be entered for the next contest.

EDIT: And I forgot to mention. The female pilot doesn't have to be me, though that might throw in a few bonus points. ^ ^ You can use your own character to pilot them as you wish, and you can make your own mecha designs.

EDIT EDIT: I also forgot to mention. Pics can be clean, mature, or adult. So anything from a simple clothed pose, to a giant femme bot taking a missile in it's 'exhaust port' is okay...and that'd be something quite odd to see... ^ ^;
