To all our now 700 watchers. It's been fun.

As of yesterday it looks like the rules caught up to us. And just as we reached 700 watchers too. Several months ago I was contacted by an admin about the pictures to which my answer was accepted. Apparently our and the other car pages had their pictures removed last night and the explanation I got from dragoneer himself is in the admin logs from another admin it was a gallery wipe due to over abundance of pictures of "collectibles" in our case cars.
I don't want anyone to be upset by this. We all knew at one point this would be the result. It was just a matter of when it would happen. And it looks like every car page out there was hit with this.

When possible I will still make journals concerning auto and racing news as well as linking youtube videos. So you all are welcome to stay if you like.
Thank you to all the watchers who really surprised the heck out of me how quickly in just two years got us just 300 people short of 1,000 watchers. If not for you all making what really was just an experiment in July of 2009 such a success

The fact that we are furries should be enough. We should be able to share our interests , too. This group wasn't hurting anyone. A blacklist for people who were offended by car photos to be able to blank them from search might've been a better idea, but that would've required actual work. XD
I can understand not wanting hundreds of pages of pictures largely unrelated to the furry fandom but I would like to see more of what other furs are driving.
And didn't they previously agree, on the record, to allow these sorts of pictures on club pages like this, with some basic (but not extreme) limitations on the extent to which car pictures get posted.
So they just did this randomly and with no warning, no polite "we regrettably inform you that..." or anything? It would have been much nicer to just give everyone a fair warning and specify exactly when a gallery needs to come down (or else) so we could save pics we like.
Once again, this site is so horribly mismanaged. I can't really complain because it's a private social site and not really all that important but damn, they sure seem to have the worst PR ideas ever and handle issues relating to the community at large in the worst ways.
The car pics are wasting precious bandwidth, the remaining supply of which is only be used for dragon cock...

And we all know that they aren't going to make any code changes allowing multiple (adult/general) avatars anytime soon.
I think it's a moot point though, I would be loathe to use furaffinity in an attempt to introduce someone "normal" to the furry fandom seeing as how even if you are not viewing adult art, you still get to see plenty of inappropriate and bizarre comments, baby/diaper stuff and other fetish pics that aren't inherently pornographic.
I mean, the bouncybouncy avs weren't pornographic. Though I do agree about the pornographic nature of the site, there's simply too much of it here. There's so many screwed up fetishes which'll make people cringe, wince, etc.
If's the fandom after all, people are curious about their creations getting it on with other people's creations.
Anyway, I guess it's silly because you aren't supposed to be looking at crap like this during work anyway.

This is something that brings furs together to share and network. It is asinine that they find the pics to be against the terms.
If it wasn't for groups like this, I wouldn't have found some new friends.

If the admins don't want car photos, then write in the AUP "NO CAR PHOTOS". It shouldn't be left up to admin interpretation.
But, I'm a fur and I like cars. And I like to talk about cars and share pictures of cars with other furs that like cars too.
Oh well. They make the rules and we can't really do much about it...
Isn't Dragoneer on the record saying he's allowing these submissions, like in a journal, message, or email?
I guess people just don't understand us.
What really upsets me is that the way they handled this was unprofessional. No fair warning, no last chance for anyone on these groups to backup their favorite images or give someone a comment or question about their car, they just wiped everything. Sure, people would have bitched but that of course is happening anyway. It's like those who run this site have absolutely no idea at all of how to interact and work with other people... oh wait, they're furries, nevermind.

bottom line is...when someone has power and doesn't like something, they can make it go away...I've seen convention staff do it... I've seen Fchan admin do it (repeatedly)...and I've seen it happen on FA... hell, I've even seen the OPPOSITE happen on FA (admin who posted stuff that was against the aup then bitch at people for pointing out that fact)... that isn't to say all admins were bad, i know people who have admin'd for fchan and fa, and I know con staff, all personally, and all of which were good people... hell, I've admin'd sites before, and people loved me, its not really that hard to be the good guy :/
