Terms of Service for Commissions
1. PROCESS: Upon discussion and agreement of subject matter of your commission and receiving of the note/email describing your request, I require some amount of payment up front to begin work. Depending on the total cost agreed upon of your piece, this amount varies (take note of #3), but will generally be half of total due, or payment in full. Upon the time of payment received, I will slot you in my queue, and I will notify you when I've begun your piece. Once I've completed the lines, I will present you with a low-res version of your image for approval. Once it's approved, I will flat-color the piece; pending approval, I then require the remaining sum due. Shading will then be done, and upon completion, I will send you a high-resolution version of your image.
Addendum: that is merely as thorough as I will work. I know many customers are far more lax and less nit-picky about seeing every step of the process. If you don't necessarily feel the need to approve every step, just let me know.
2. PRICING: There are certain things that increase the price of a commission. An overly complicated character (extra wings/appendages, a 12 color palette, etc. etc.) will increase the base price, for example. We will, of course, discuss all additional fees before I accept your payment. I'm not about to spring fees on you somewhere in the middle of the art, or later down the road, or anything like that. Once a price is set, that price will not change.
Addendum: The only extra fee that will ever occur will be if line changes are requested after the lines have been approved. Each change will cost $3+, depending on the complexity of the change request and how far into the coloring/shading process it is made. Please make sure the lines are exactly what you want before you okay them!
Ick Fee: Please refer to #3. If what you’re requesting is on that list, please understand that I will charge a higher price than my standard. Depending on what is being requested, you and I will settle on a price that makes me feel comfortable with the commission.
3. WILL/ WON'T DRAW: Here is the list of things out of my comfort zone, but will still draw with the “Ick fee” applied:
Mature Cub
Bestiality (specifically, feralxhumanoid)
Vore
Watersports
Multiple Genitalia (aka, more than two boobs, one dick, one set of balls, etc.)
Guro
I will not draw mid-transformation stuff. Mostly because I can't. Sorry!
Also, please understand that if what you’re requesting isn’t already in my gallery, chances are, I haven’t drawn it before. While I will try my hardest to draw what you want, it may not come out as “professional” as other artists’ may do it. They’ve probably been at it for some time. HOWEVER, if you have a reference for a pose, position, that would be very helpful! I will do my best to make sure it is similar and that you are satisfied, but I will not copy the pose in its entirety, or the style that it is in. I will not trace or otherwise steal someone’s artwork or style, for any reason.
Everything in the list above will most likely not be posted to my account.
4. DEADLINES: I will try to respect any deadline you set for me. If none is specified, your piece will typically be completed in within a few months, with exceptions granted to larger projects or other circumstantial cases. If four months time has passed and I have not yet begun on your piece, you will then be given the option to receive a refund or remain in queue. If, after four months, I have completed only a portion of your piece, then you will be given the option of receiving a partial refund and receiving the work that has been completed, or remain in queue.
Addendum: Please keep in mind that I am not exactly a fast worker. I am a mother and work two different jobs throughout the week; in addition, everything I do I do with a mouse in Paint Tool SAI. So I'm not exactly the fastest artist in the world.
5. PAYMENTS: Payments will either be received in whole or in a number of payments to be determined at the beginning of the commission. Work will not be posted without complete payment, no exceptions!
6. WORK ORDER: I do not necessarily complete commissions in the order that they were received! I have a tendency on completing whatever I feel like drawing at that moment, or whatever my "muse" is wanting to complete. If I complete another commission before yours, don't fret - I'm still working on yours, just out of order!
7. CONTACT: You may note me at twisetdspectrum@furaffinity, or send me an email at twisted.spectrum[at]gmail.com I'm occasionally on my messengers, but keep in mind that if I'm online, I'm probably working in some way, and I'm not available to talk about much outside of commissions. While I love to be social, this means you'll have to forgive me if I'm slow to respond to you. =3 Please send any and ALL information regarding your commission to me in an email or note. It is easier for me to hold onto an email or note than a text/IM.
Addendum: If, after reading my ToS and knowing that I'm not the fastest artist, you still insist on poking/messaging/asking me about your stuff a billion times a day, I may issue a refund and terminate your commission. The best way to make me not want to draw something is to bug me about it a lot. >_> Please don't abuse the fact that I have my messenger information public. =3 Thank you!
8. CLEVER CATCH-ALL: Any attempt to evade or otherwise "find loopholes" in my terms of service will render your commission void, a partial or full refund issued depending on work completed, and your commission will be cancelled. Don't try and be sneaky. It's not cool. ^.~
This is a revision of
kyomana's Terms of Service, who revised it from
yoshii's Terms of Service. I just edited it down/shaped it up to suit me. Yay Terms of Service!
