Auction to help Dipper - RULES [date edit]
DATE EDIT: Please check the new dates of the auction.
========= RULES =========
General Stuff
- The auction will open on Sunday, 31 of July at GTM - 21:00 hs and finish on Sunday, 7 of August at GTM - 24:00 hs.
- All payments will be sent to dipperfunds[at]gmail.com
- There will be a few hours at sunday morning where the updating of bids might be slow due to sleep and having to vote (yep, we are electing the governor for the city THAT day) so please, to sunday morning bidders, be patient u__u
Bidding
- All artists will be listed alphabetically and divided in 2 journals: Une posted at

-To place a bid, send a note to the user hosting the journal which contains the artist you want to bid to, and place your bid IN THE SUBJECT of the note, stating the artist and the amount you are bidding.
Example
Recipient: Shibara
Subject: Daggerleonelli $30
- Notes will be monitored constantly and the progression of the bids will be added as comments to the journals by

- Do not write anything in the contents of the note, because they won’t even be opened. This is because opening and closing notes would take much more time than just refreshing the page constantly and marking them as read.
- Do not post comments in either journals. Anything not posted by us will be instantly hidden.
Q: Shibara, why on earth are you using notes? Wouldn’t commenting with the bid be much simpler?
A: Absolutely yes. But sadly, the fact that comments can be hidden and there is no way to tell who placed the comment brought a ton of hell to the last massive auction.
In an ideal world where everyone was a responsible bidder, this would not be needed, but the last auction showed there is always some people not willing to play nice, who took away their bids causing trouble to lower bidders.
So, the only way I found out this could be easily helped, is by notes, which I’ll keep for the record until everything is done.
After the auction is over
To the auction winners:
- All payments will be made in U$S and through Paypal.
- Payment must be effectuated within 2 weeks of winning the auction to dipperfunds[at]gmail.com
- After that period the winner will be contacted to see the reason for the delay. If answered with asshattery or it’s clear the auction winner has no intention of paying, I’ll personally plaster it all over Artist_Beware, and any other site I can think of to make getting a commission a very hard thing for this person.
I’m sorry if this sounds harsh, but a lot of people is investing a lot of time and effort in this, so I think taking this seriously is a must.
- THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Do NOT label your payments as gifts or the accout might be cancelled. Also, do NOT mention anywhere that it is art/image related. It has proven to bring trouble too sometimes.
- DO state the name of the winner and the name of the artist in the payment.
Example
Winner: Shibara
Artist: Daggerleonelli
- You will receive a note by the artist whose auction you won when the payment is confirmed. From that moment on, you can discuss the details of your work with the artist personally.
To the artists:
- Once the payment is confirmed by Dipper, you will receive a note (either by her or me) with your auction winner.
- ONLY then contact the auction winner to arrange the particulars of each work.
- Artists who also commit asshattery and ignore the auction after the payment is made will also be reported to Artist_Beware.
I don’t think this might happen, specially since everyone here volunteered for this, but I guess it doesn’t hurt to clarify things.
Well I guess that’s pretty much it.
Due to having too few people that opted for the grupal bids, they will be divided into 2 groups: written and images. If any of the involved would like to change their mind on this, you have time until the auction is open to let me know.
On a personal note, I apologise for the time it took to organize this. I sincerely had the time when I volunteered for this, but then stuff kept happening preventing me to make it happen sooner.
Also, thanks to everyone involved. Both to artists and people who decided to help me with the organization.
See you all later tomorrow with the auction journals and good bidding everyone ^^
PS: If you have any doubt before the bidding starts, please let me know with a comment here 0w0
PS2: Spreading of this journal, and the auction in general will be greatly appreciated =D
Lol
I would also like to add that the higher the bidding goes, the more art I will be including as well. ^-^
