Welcome to the journal for FACrux's first contest! I hope you enjoy your stay! We have several fantastic prizes being offered for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, more could be coming! (See the last paragraph of this journal if you or someone you know would be interested in contributing their time and/or talent for more prizes!)
*1st place winner will receive
-One digital crux art commission by darth-kitsu
-1500l$ (SecondLife currency) from jasirilion
*2nd place winner will receive
-Two MythCrux SL avatar mod kits by Harlekin
-1000l$ (SecondLife currency) from jasirilion
*3rd place winner will receive

More prizes could be coming, check this journal for updates! Once again, if you would like to contribute, please read the bottom of this journal for more info. Contributing a prize will not exclude you from the contest or winning any prizes!

-The contest timeline begins RIGHT NOW!
-The contest will end at the end of the month (August 31st). That's just over two weeks, I think that's a fair timeline, but if there is a enough request for it the contest end date can be pushed back.
-The winner(s) will be announced the day or two after the contest closes.
-You may enter as many contest entries as you want, however you will only be eligible for one prize. Comment here with a link your entries, or if you wish to be anonymous you can send them via note to this account, however the winning entries will be posted for the community to see.
-For now the winning entries will be chosen by Kite (that's me!) and Enkai.
Now, as for the contest entries. The theme is 'Creation'. The wikifur entry on crux states that the unique hybrids were created by magical or scientific means, we would like you to look deeper into that and see how YOU specifically interpret or imagine the dawn of the Crux! We will allow artistic freedom within reason. We want you to have fun with this!
And to make things as fair as possible, anyone can join, you don't have to be an artist to enter. You could use literature, ice sculpture, video, interpretive dance, etc, for your entries. Be as creative as you want as long as it depicts the creation of the crux! It could be dramatic, it could be silly, it could be horrifying. ^____^
If you have any questions/concerns/etc please do say them! I will do my best to be fair and to help make our first contest spectacular!

If you're interested in offering your talent towards this contest or group we would love to be able to give more prizes to our group members/contestants by offering more prizes to win! It could be anything, an icon, a short story, fursuit parts, maybe a discounted commission, etc. If you're interested in giving something to the crux community let us know. Anything helps! If you wish to donate something that does not exclude you from the contest!

i just thought of something though...BISQUICK CRUX!!! XD
haha you know that stuff you make bread out of? i used to sculpt it into shapes & then cook it when i was little.
And I could probably contibute as an artist for the next contest, but I would have to see where I am beforehand. XD
Just don't bite off more than you can chew obviously. :3
