Here's the first film and anime review folks^^ I hope you enjoy it?
How to Train Your Dragon:
Man this is a fantastic movie I have to say. The main character is named Hiccup, yeah I know kind of a silly name for someone but who cares. The setting is in a viking community, and it's almost winter, Hiccup is like the outcast in the village, everytime he does something everything turns into a total shitstorm. And the vikings are preparing for a war against the dragons that invade and steal food from their village. Then he meets a dragon he named Toothless. Now Toothless i think is adorable as fuck. I mean he has such big eyes and a funny personality. Who would hate such a cute creature like that? Hiccup befriends the dragon and they become best buds, which is the bulk of the story I think? The acting was pretty damn good I loved how Jay Baruchel gave Hiccup a sarcastic but positive personality which is common in most teenagers. And I was surprised that Gerald Butler voiced Stoick the Vast. He was such a great actor in 300 as he is still a great actor now. The music which was composed by John Powell fits very well with the whole viking theme to the story. Ir's pretty good to listen to while watching the movie cause it gives you an exciting feeling in the movie here and there. Now the plot is a very well placed plot. But this was not the plot of the book, they writers did an entirely different plot for the first book. But this was approved by the autor Cressida Cowell. Because even though it's a different plot it still carries the same message as it did in the book. This was an amazing animated film from Dreamworks, just like with Shrek this is a goldmine of a strong line of films. I hope that it continue this trend for future films in the series and be nominated in the oscars.

Howl's Moving Castle:
Wheren every you hear about this film or Spirited Away the first thing that comes to mind is Hayao Miyazaki. Miyazaki is a great director so i have nothing against his creative vision in all of his films because they are really amazing to watch. Now the protagonist is a girl named Sophie who works at a hat shop but after a witch casted a spell on her that turns her into an old woman she runs away and then walks right into Howl's castle and thus begins her amazing adventures there. This film is surrounded by themes of old countries, magicians, witches, and wizards. but it's very well planned out though for the plot of the film. I love how the plot is played out overall, it's got the basics of any normal animated film. Humor, some drama, mystery, you name it. The animation looks fantastic, what can you expect from Studio Ghibli but greatly fluid and well drawn animation films. Great examples of them are Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and My Neighbor Totoro. This movie is one of my favorites, but it's not as good as Spirited Away sorry to say, but I still love how Hayao Miyazaki directed this film with his magical touch to the plot and animation. Now this is another film based off of a book with the same title written by Diana Wynne Jones. Some plot changes here and there but doesn't ruin the charm and interest of the film. I loved the performences of Jean Simmons who played a great Grandma Sophie, Billy Crystal who was a funny fire demon, christian Bale as the titicular character of the film, and Lauren Bacall as The Witch of The Wast. They voiced their characters very well and were very convincing too.
