Objective;
Miller is looking for a new band to call home! He's a relatively established vocalist, a team player, but unfortunate circumstances resulted in him leaving his last band and aspiring to build another--greater--powerhouse! So he's holding auditions! His producers have promised to sign his new band to his previous label, assuming he can find marketable and reliable talent--he knows he can do it! So now it's time for him to meet all of the infinitely talented candidates: Create a character for Miller's new rock band. The character can be human, kemonomimi, or furry--all is welcome--but should fit into a modern, normal setting (Ie. No fantasy-based creatures/abilities/characteristics that do not make sense for the species. A chameleon may be able to shift their colors, a spider might have multiple limbs, but keep things realistic) and know one of the sought instruments, shown below. Male and females allowed, but keep in mind that this is a ROCK band! Think similar to bands like Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, or Fair to Midland. Characters should somehow reflect the genre.

Positions;
Miller is looking for the following instruments, AT LEAST:
Guitar
Bass Guitar
Drums
Other optional positions include: Guitar, Keyboard/Piano, Violin.
(Certain characters may be switched around to fit, and Miller may be willing to take a back burner to the right voice, since he also knows bass!)

Rules;
1. You may enter as many times as you want! You can win more than once, or have more than one character included in the band, but if you do win you will only receive one prize set.
2. I reserve the right to make minor changes to the character for the sake of fitting into the group. (ie. changing your character from a guitarist to a drummer). All changes will be discussed with you beforehand.
3. All submissions should be 100% your own, or of your property. You may receive assistance from a friend or commissioner, but there must be explicit proof that that person willingly and knowingly helped you with your contest entry (ie. their comment on the submission or something). No bases, doll site generators, tracing, etc.
4. No copying or stealing ideas from other contestants or from pre-existing characters. Obviously some similarities are unavoidable, but more blatant rip offs will be noted and eliminated
5. Do not negatively criticize, make fun off, or otherwise harass the work of other entrants. All opinions, save for positive of course, should be kept to yourself. Any instances of flaming or disrespect will have you disqualified.
6. I have the right to cancel this contest at any time if I feel it is not getting enough participation or personal circumstances prevent me from facilitating the contest properly.
7. In the event that the contest ends and no entries reach my expectations or give me inspiration, I will not use them for the band, but there will still be winners. In this case, however, prizes may be reduced or limited.
8. I am willing to give advice and critique on submissions to better help your chances of winning, however I will only give so much and much of my comments will be objective and non-partial. I will only comment on the page of your submissions if you request the critique, so please note that on your submission or let me know! If I see nothing that needs critiquing, you're all set! But it does NOT guarantee you will win!
9. Any additional questions can be asked in comments or noted to me privately. Additional rules may be added if other details are considered later.

Pointers;
The entries will be judged based on the following, basic criteria: Innovation/creativity, effort, attention to detail, ability to convey detail, and my ability to properly draw the character.
1. For ideas of what I can and cannot draw, see my gallery or ask! For example, a horse furry would probably be a bad idea because I'm horrible at them, but any kind of canine would be perfectly fine! This shouldn't hinder your creativity, mind you, so go with what you work with best, especially since I won't be the only one drawing these guys! (hopefully!)
2. Try to think outside of the box. I'm a major sucker for unique, memorable designs. On the other hand, don't overcomplicate things. There's nothing uglier than an excessively busy design. Keep in mind composition, accessibility, and believability. An outfit made up entirely of zippers may be cool in theory, but how likely is it that someone would actually wear that? Let alone draw it.
3. Don't stress! All in all, this is just a contest, meant to be fun. Don't over think things, or try to get into my head to see what I'd like most. Just do what you do best, what you're comfortable with, and take your time. If you don't make the deadline, no biggie! I like to think I'm a friendly person, so if you have an issue or concern, feel free to let me know and we can work something out.

Judging;
Based on the criteria listed above, I will be judging along with the help of a few friends. I'll also be getting my sister's help in judging, and even have a public vote! This is just my effort to be as open-minded and objective as possible. Obviously, a certain level of personal preference is going to play part in any kind of contest, but I want to avoid the majority of it.

Requirements;
1. Full body image of your character; optional nude and clothed ref, or just clothed.
2. Detail on color for all body parts: eyes, skin, hair, any markings/tattoos/piercings, and clothes.
3. Detail on character's personality, background, and any notable information. Bonus again for creativity! If you and a friend would like to submit two characters who are somehow associated with each other (ie. siblings, rivals, etc) you're more than welcome to, though this detail may be ignored if one and not both characters are accepted.
4. Character name! I will not make these up for you, since they will not be my characters!
5. All information should be in one, easily accessible spot. Include it all on a submission image, or additional details can be added in the artist's notes. I do NOT want to be given five different links to go through, or I will let you know that it will just be disqualified :/

Results;
After all of the winners are selected, a band name will be decided on and they will be given their own furaffinity account page. Artwork can then be submitted there featuring the characters, either by you or by unaffiliated fans. Additional events may be included in the future, we'll see! Keep in mind that these are YOUR characters. Upon winning, I will not take any ownership of them, save for the rights to draw them whenever I want. You're free to role-play with them, write about them, do just about anything with them save for giving them away to someone else. If you want to make any changes to the character's design, however, please let me know!

Prizes;
Each person who has an entry accepted will win a part of the prize bundle. That's at least three winners, quite possibly more! Feel free to offer prizes for the prize bundle, I'd love to get it built up nice and big for added incentive. This prize distribution will be done a bit differently than most, however. Of course, all winners will get the same prize: Having their character involved in this band project, but then there will be a lottery process to distribute the other prizes. 1st place winner will have first pick, 2nd place will have second pick, 3rd will have third pick, and so on. Then, once all the winners have received a prize, it will jump back to 1st place to choose from the remainder of the prize bundle, and that will continue until all prizes have been claimed. (If this doesn't make any sense feel free to ask for clarification xD)If no one seems to like this method I may change/redistribute it all, but I wanna try being a bit original :P
