Fear 3

FEAR. The term fear stands for being afraid of something. Well in the matter of gamers, it means that. And there is FEAR. A video game series that surrounds a little girl who has these amazing psychic powers and wants to take revenge on people who tortured her with experiment. I say that is pretty fucked up and disturbing in the series. But that's what makes her so special for the series is her origin which are explained in the previous game FEAR 2: PROJECT ORIGIN. And FEAR 3 begins after the last game where you play as Point Man as people call him. Not sure if the developers were lazy to give him a name or not but still better then nothing right? Well you also play as the canabalistic psycopath Paxton Fettel who isn't quite as dead as we expected from the first game. So basically you can play as either as these characters and try to stop Alma from giving birth to another child which is the main goal of the game is to stop the birth. Point Man you get matrix like gameplay and FPS experience. The slow mo works well when i want to shoot the living hell out of people with headshots which is awesome. Now for fettel it's abit weird at times bu i got used to it. The voice acting in it is good but it still bugs me that Pxton sounds so much like Mark Hamil. Man. The graphics i have to say are better then the other two which has shitty graphics but still look like last gen sort of but that didn't stop me from experiencing the game. The soundtrack fits well with the game to give you a creepy feeling in your spine but it just doesn;t give me the "oh fuck!" kind of moments that make me almsot shit my pants at night. But the game does have a great creepy atmosphere to it which is a plus. The multiplayer is good here and there but it feels more like an online lobby kind of deal in the main menu to me. The biggest thing i loved were the cutscenes of this game. John Carpenter (Halloween and Children of the Corn) worked on them while Steve Niles(30 Days of Night) co wrote the script. This team kicks alot of ass and i can tell from teh first cutscene that is has John's touch to it. The multiplayer is average to me but oh well. So this is a different entry in the FEAR series and i Hope to see the Steve and John team in future projects together.
