To everybody that I've watched in the past few months...

(ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ～『✧~*BOOP!*~✧』 ... I say to you in return "You're very welcome, and thank YOU for contributing to this community with your great art!" It took me some time, but I've finally managed to figure out how to go back and pay my respects. I would love to reply to everybody individually and personally, but until the FA admins grace us with an easier way to respond to shouts and comments (*cough* like the system deviantART uses *cough*) then I'm afraid this journal will have to suffice. Because of the way the system works now, it's quite literally impossible for me to go back and check to see whether or not older Shouts are simple "thank you for watching" messages or something more. That's why I've fallen behind in returning the kindness that you all showed me when you took the time to visit my page and leave a comment. That having been said, it's going to be a long and arduous process of going back, clicking a link to somebody's user page and then hitting Ctrl+V, but in the end my hope is that the people I give this link to will appreciate the effort that I've put into making sure that they know that I'm not just another silent watcher. Seriously, you guys are the greatest! ♥

I wouldn't say DA's system is 100% perfect, haha, but I would definitely like to see nested shout strings just like the ones we can get on submissions/journals @_@; The current shout system is just .. clunky, I guess?

Let me just thank you not only for the watch but for taking the time to write this. Also, I don't know how others think about this but I personally don't expect replies to saying "Thanks for watching" since you've already honored me by the watch itself. :) I just say thanks to express that it means a lot.
There will be a day, I hope, when I get so many watches that I can't afford the time to go and say thanks to everyone. ;) But until hat, I do. For me personally, the main reason to make art is to share something, and if people watch me its a reward of its own.

Sorry, I got a little distracted and got too deep into this. In any case, I am very glad that I saw your magazine and my soul felt warm, thank you again for the nice words you wrote!
If/when we do manage to work together, I may insist on offering payment first. There's a reason for this, and you can ask many of the artists I've worked with before. That reason is that I know it can be difficult for the person I've commissioned, sometimes more than they'd let on. I insist on paying first because I don't to put them in a situation where payment is asked for after the fact, and for whatever reason it cannot be delivered. That is a slap in the face. By offering payment before, the artist knows that the money is guaranteed theirs. And why's that? Because I never request refunds. Even if we were to do it as a payment plan kind of deal, I will never ask for whatever I've paid you back, should something happen that requires me to cancel the commission. This policy has burned me before, but I don't care, because in the end it's about helping someone out. Artists aren't the tools they draw with, they are people, and people have needs, and needs usually require money. A good example? I commissioned someone maybe four or five months ago, for something that cost me 120$, and I haven't heard back from them. And I'm okay with that, because I know they've been going through some rough times. Even if I never hear back from them, I'll rest easy knowing that, even if only for a little bit, I made their life easier.
