How did you create your fursona?

Why/how did you decide your fursona's species? Why: Psytrin was the nickname of the first Mewtwo I caught in the old Red/Blue/Yellow pokemon games. I've used it a lot, and traded it over to Gold/Silver/Crystal, and continued to use it.
Is there a reason or meaning behind their name? Explained in why. I've also always used this name as a username for various sites, and in video games, too.
Did you just stick with natural animal colors, or did you have a reason for picking other colors? I went with shiny/more green because I love green.
Do you have any distinguishing markings on your fursona? If so, what are they, and why? Not particularly. He's more green than a shiny Mewtwo, but that's about the only defining features. Just plain and bland. :>
Does your fursona's personality match your own, or is it different? I haven't really given my characters personalities. But Psy's would be the closest to mine.
Does your fursona have a back story different from your own past? Yes. Psytrin has lost his memory, and woke up to meet his two maids, Diana and Valerie. Eventually, I'll develop the story more as soon as a commission is completed for me, because it introduces a new character that I would like to represent visually, first. Otherwise, boring amnesia-related plot. :x

Does your fursona have a back story different from your own past?...huh. I never thought of something about a past...thing. Hm. Would anyone really be that interested in a story about Roy's past? I should look into this.

Does your fursona have a back story different from your own past? Much. My back story is more or less rather dull and boring. his is less so. "created in a lab to be the perfect soldier Dram quickly became the peoples hero. Until one day they no longer needed him. A scrapped soldier must fight the galaxy or they will all face being destroyed by an alien race from another dimension."
I blame it all on the movies I watched as a kid.
