As far as a reason, well, I figured I'd give it a shot because... why not.

The character? Flos is a tall burly butchy grizzly bear. In fact you can't tell it's a lady by looking just at her face (Granted she's got a nice set of jugs and dangerous curves along with a little bit of pudge~). Hammers and maces are weapons she seems to favour when it comes (to other artists vision of her aside my own) to fantasy themes and what not. In a kung-fu themed ambiance it would only be suiting for her to fill the 'big though' role, because of her body mass and overall strength. (Bears have strong arms :V)

Seems like a fun idea and I'm exited to see it develop! (brb watching you.)

Since you said we could submit as many characters as we want, I figured I'd try out for each of the positions, if you don't mind. ^^ I REALLY want to be in this picture.

First, the cocky one: Chakat Tailswisher (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6153698/), shi's always protecting others and is often very caring, however shi's rarely bested in combat so shi's become quite cocky. Third, the butch one: Sithis (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6490082/), he's a very rough 'n tumble guy, who likes nothing more than have a good fight with anyone who's willing. He's an expert in hand to hand fighting as he grew up on the streets and had to fend for himself. His weapons? His fists!

Fourth, the sneaky one: Scylla (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6477944/), she's an ooze girl who knows how to get things done without being seen or heard. You need someone taken out? She'll sneak up on them from out of the drains or gutters and smother them with her body. You want something taken without being noticed? She can slime her way under any door or through any lock. Her weapon is her body; she can turn parts of her body solid at will and can use them as clubs or projectiles.

Weapon: Three Section Staff
The cocky one. The three section staff is (in my opinion) the weapon of choice for high-risk-high-reward. It is very unwieldy and quite easy to injure yourself while using it - so naturally the cocky one would wield something like this because of its complexity and versatility. On this particular one, there is a lining of metal that runs along the wooden parts of the staff, allowing Abraxis to deliver shocks with each blow (see second ref :) ). That, and I am just awesome so you should pick me </cocky> =p.

If I may, I'd like to go for the "pretty one" slot.

I'd love to enter Hikari... My reasoning is this. Hikari is a very beautiful character with a very unique and eloquent appearance, style, and form. He specializes in a Hokken (an archiac Japanese "temple" sword which is a strait, longsword style blade, if you have any questions I'd love to explain). His martial arts style is Shinto Ryu, and if you need any further details, I'd be more than happy to explain him.

As a character, he has a lot of depth, a fairly good following, and his benevolent, yet zen-like behavior brings a level of warmth and compassion to any picture. Also, I have a reference sheet and multiple pictures of exotic outfits for you to chose from.

basically he is a 6 ft 250lb dingo who can take a hit just as well as he can deliver one, he doesn't really have a fighting style other than get the job done and never back down and he usually uses his sise to his advantage as much as possible and would have a double bited axe and a wakizashi as a backup

I guess I won't be able to enter this contest due to my character carries a broad sword (Heavy body length sword) and has the power of anger. No slots for something like that.

well if that's the case allow me to introduce myself I am John Wolf a Werewolf/stallion hybrid and here are my details.

My Appearance:

Height: 6'5"
Weight: 280LBS
Slight muscular Build
short white fur with black hair (from bane to lower back)
Mostly Wolfen body with bone structure and fur of horse
Scar on left eye (eye still works) running from eyebrow to mid cheeck bone
soft green eyes (scarred eye changes to red when angry)
and certain anatomy share the wolf/horse preportions(Girth and length of horse, knot of wolf)

Standing feature is a red crystal embedded in his chest (this keeps his anger and unknown abilities in check)
As well as his crystal changes colors to reflect his mood (WARNING: STAY away when this crystal is black, it's meaning is simple think about it!)

Usually wears Blue Jeans and a black jacket and combat boots
Has been known to wield a broad sword

Personality:
Temid, sometimes submissive, only on certain occasions
Loves to be in control in a relationship
Mostly shy not a big talker

My character's name is Gunay, a female herm. She's a wolf/ferret hybrid created in a lab with some extra genetics thrown in.
I think she'd be good for the sneaky role because of her ability to be very quick on her feet, agile, flexible, and... well sneaky!!

5. My character Jason can make alot of good as being an assassin especially during his stealth kills. Being able to sneak behind enemies while blending in the crowd and killing them without anyone noticing, Jason is known very well to kill during his stealth missions without being detected by anyone. He's like a phantom who can disappear and reappear whenever and wherever he wants and is like a ghost in the crowd where no one can see him.

More people for the sneaky one! He's sure a popular slot.

Reason why I think that my character would be good for this slot: Talo's alternate ego doesnt care much for rules, because he feels like they are beneath him. He does things the way he wants because he feels like If he thought of it, it must be the best option. When he fights, he feels like he has no equal, and that he is the best at whatever he does. He is the best of the best when it comes to kicking ass and taking names, and boy does he enjoy it. In his mind, there is nothing that he cant do.

Either a long sword or a claw type weapon.
Cocky: Aside from being a bit of a cynical/sarcastic smart ass at times, his fight style is pretty much just run in and start kicking the crap out of everyone in the tricounty area :P He generally just screws around in fights, not even really seemingly like he takes it seriously.
Pretty: Just cause he doesn't take the fights seriously, that doesn't mean there's no style to his fighting. He still likes to be a tad flashy in his attacks as well, most of his attacks flowing perfectly into the next, even while fighting several people at once.

3) I think my fursona would be best suited with a weapon that lets him move gracefully around the battle field so something like the hook swords...or maybe an steel cable fashioned into whip.

3) I like to think to think of him as an attractive peacock. He is limber and flexible and does a lot of dancing...so he can incorporate that into his fighting style. The whole think about a peacock is that he is beautiful to look at, so i think that he would also know that and use his beauty to seduce his opponent into dropping their guard and then he would attack them.

Position: The Pretty One

Weapon of Choice: The scythe in the reference pic, which he is capable of throwing in a large circular arc with a bit of telekinetic assistance. He's not very adept with it, so he can't hold it for too long.

Reason: Theodore is a feminine young boy with very girlish looks. He's taken up Kung-Fu in order to better discipline himself, and to defend himself should the time arise. However, he has come to realize that he can use his own looks as a ruse, in which he can deal with an opponent when they're distracted. A little sneaky tactic he likes to implement every now and then. Overall, it is not to exploit his own elegance, but to further temper his mind for trials ahead.

Reason?: Trevor's big, powerful, and a shark of few words. But unlike other characters of his archetype, He's actually got the smarts to complement his physical abilities.

Normally, my character is telekinetic, but in accordance to the rules of this contest, let's assume that he has no supernatural abilities, just his smarts and physique.

As for weapons, I would recommend the energy blade in the first picture, but since you said realism, I'd say her clawed fingers and taloned feet would do the trick.

I think metal finger claws could be really cool. Plus she'd have an elegance. Which slot were you trying her for? :D

Cocky one: I am an avid rp fighter, and love the thrill of a battle, the dance back and forward of attacks excites me, even thou most think i would not enjoy it. its a suprise to see a pretty lithe fighter go all out.
Avid user of capoera, and uses any weapon he can get his hands on, but has an affinity for his treasure, Crescent cycle. a mettalic looking boomerang type weapon (http://images.wikia.com/dragonage/i.....67/Finesse.png kinda like this) that he can use as a distance weapon, or up close as a long blade type weapon, or split it into two daggers for stabbing and slashing. when a fight gets intense his eyes will give a reddish glint and he will fight like a beast.

Slot: The butch one, because he is modelled after my own body-type, and I'm rather big in the shoulder etc, also I tend to use myself as a battering ram in sports to rather good effect. I've got a bit of a belly, but my shoulders are so big you barely notice it.
I was thinking a kind of large axe with a maul on the bottom of the pommel.
