Call to Action: MLP:FiM as Sonic

Not quite sure how to start. I can't say "I'm not really sure how it happened," since I actually followed my own train of thought.
I was watching the "Unskippable" episode on "Sonic and the Black Knight" http://www.escapistmagazine.com/vid.....e-Black-Knight , and they mentioned the two simultaneous cartoon series. It occurred to me that Princess Sally Acorn, at least in the SatAM version I actually watched, was a rather strong female character. I wondered how she measured up against Bunnie Rabbot from the same ser

And that was a few hours ago. Now, I didn't come up with all of this at once, and obviously it's not even complete. But I'm sure someone will figure out the last couple bits, and I am hopeful one or two people will find the idea compelling enough to draw. (Color swap, style swap, parallel universes, embedding, crossover... I won't hamstring you.)
Applejack/Bunnie
The hook that I described above. A little superficial, just a southern-comfort accent, but all analogies run that risk.
Twilight/Sally
The parallel can't be strong if the emotional center of FiM can't be found in the Sonicverse. Oh, wait.
Rainbow Dash/Sonic
Same principle. Am shocked this wasn't in the top 2.
Rarity/Antoine*
Eh, maybe, maybe not. Honestly, I've only seen about 3.2 episodes of MLP, plus various clips, AMVs, and YTPs. I think their attitudes fail to be pragmatic in similar ways, but Antoine was inept in a way that's almost contrary to the ponyverse. Maybe a CMC.
Spike/Tails
Aaaaaaaaannnnnnnddddd... the wards.
That's what I have. I was thinking maybe Fluttershy/Cream, but I only know about the rabbit from porns, meaning there could be a total personality mismatch.
So, Fluttershy and Pinkie are unmatched on the Equestria side, and Rotor and... Nicole, I guess, are left on the Mobius side. *does a quick lookup for an hour* I guess the best one-to-one function remaps Rarity to Rotor, then adds Fluttershy/NICOLE, leaving Pinkie/Antoine. Yeah, that's pretty close.
