I... drove home from publix.
My hands and legs are still shaking. I put in an application there and Jim was like "so, wanna drive home?" and i was like sure.
I got out of the parking lot by myself, I got on the main road by myself. i made it thru a green light, I stopped at a red light... I turned (badly but its my first time) onto our road to our house, I stopped at the two stop signs, went over the speed hump, turned onto our road and parked the car by myself

When I was learning to drive ('85 / 16 years old), my dad was a county beat cop.. and he was teaching me in his LITTLE Datsun (Nissan?). He'd take me into Babylon Village to get bagels on a Sunday morning.. when everyone else is pretty much doing the same thing... on a 2 lane street with a parking line on the side.
You wanna know how many bricks are in that car from all the people I DIDN'T hit who decided it was ok to come out of the parking spot and into traffic in front of me? Put it this way....

On beginning I thought I'll never get the license at the pace I was driving .. but i eventually got it
