Okay, so my friend,
Has been going insane with mind-numbing, terrible pain, and even when he asks for help on his page, so one has answered the call. That's sad and terrible. So I have a proposition for you: if you spread the word by posting a journal, or donate to his cause, which is simple: to go to the doctor and get some medicine for his mind-numbing, terrible migraines, I'll see what I can do for you. be it posting a journal, doing some art, etc. The only thing is, there has to be some proof.
If you donate, tell me how much and if you post about it, where you posted.
Just to tell you how terrible it is, I just texted him, and he said I shouldn't call because he's currently in bed, trying not to scream in pain from his migraine. these are level ten pain symptoms. He needs a doctor, and he needs help. Doing this for him would help immensely.

On a side note, does he live in the US? I'm asking because I was in a similar situations a few years ago, not migraines but another health problem, and I applied for Medicaid. Combined with the financial aid from the hospital (pretty much every hospital offers financial aid services ranging from easy payments to slashing your bill to almost nothing depending on your situation) I got my medical issues taken care of very reasonably.
There's absolutely no shame in asking for help when you need it, even from the govt, despite what a lot of people seem to feel these days on the news and such.
Hospital here is run by greedy back stabbers..... Anything under middle-class is turned away for even for intensive care, and emergency room service if you don't have insurance.
Disability always turns you down once- I got it on my appeal using local legal aid. I got a referral from the local SRS office, so the legal aid was free of charge. I had documentation from my doctors about my arthritis and autism, so the judge ruled in my favor.
I can't believe the hospital is so bad. We only have religious, non-profit hospitals around here, so you get taken care of no matter what. All they ask is if you can't pay that you fill out the financial aid forms because they get some money when providing free services.
If you know anyone who works for a medical center or doctor, they may be able to help you arrange payments or something. My mum works for our local hospital, so she talked to the surgeon about my situation and got him to see me quickly and for a lower price than usual for the office visit. I don't know if any of that will help, but I can only speak from my own experiences, you know?
For a moment.. I thought you were in my area, but we don't have a 'non-profit' hospital here.. Hell we don't have a free clinic. :C
And I would love to make a payment plan, but I can't even do that.. I literally am living off any donations, and hand outs I can get from friends or people willing to help.... Problem is that last one I got was way back in February so I could get new glasses. The only reason I have a roof is my Mate's parents, and she doesn't have a job either... So we are basically mooching off them....
Until recently, I thought ALL hospitals were non-profit. I live in the Bible Belt, so all of the hospitals around here are catholic. It's worth it to put up with the priests coming by trying to talk you into their religion to get good, affordable care. Also, I'm surprised there are no clinics- I live in a tiny little town and we have a low-cost/free clinic. (Of course, this is a poor area.)
I did the same thing with my own parents- hell, I'm STILL kind of a mooch. Since you have no job, how are they denying you aid? That doesn't seem right... Are you counting her parents' income when asked for household income? If you're over 18, you can count just your own self (and you mate if legally married) as a household. With zero income, you should be able to get some help.
I hope that didn't come across as prying, just trying to share info.
*nods* No... Some are financially run. Specially in bigger cities, and towns... I'm in a city big enough to have one that is run by corporate line of hospitals. I would go to a Religious hospital, but I"m pretty sure they frown at my tattoo :P :P
And I'm 27, married, and job free for 2 years now... And she doesn't have a job either.. so no income there....
The hospital won't care about your tats- if they didn't mind my atheism, they won't mind some ink. If you have access to one, I highly recommend them. I've never been to a corporate hospital and I hope I never have to. All of the medical horror stories I've heard have come from for profit medical centers.
With your situation, I think you should be able to get Medicaid, food stamps, and even cash assistance. As a married couple, you should qualify for more aid than I got as a single person. So long as you're either looking for work or applying for Social Security Disability, they should approve some help. I think you just need to make sure you only include your income, or lack thereof, on the forms, not her parents' income. That's how it works here in Kansas anyway.
I know.. but i've tried, and they still don't work with us! Its bad, and scary shit... And I've tried getting things.. but no Birth Certificate here. I have to get money for that too. :C
It sucks they won't work with you. Here you only need ID, SS card, proof of residence and time to fill out a billion forms. I wish there was more I could do to help. I had a very cooperative caseworker to talk me through the whole thing.
Yeah... We need a birth cert here. *hugs* Thank you for all the support... ANd I am sorry if it sounds like I'm shooting them down.
