Eleven Questions meme

1. If you could speak one other language, what would it be?
-Japanese probably, or German. Both languages are neat, and potentially very useful in most workplaces.
2. What is your favorite book? if you haven't read a book, what is your favorite bathroom product that you read the text on while at the bathroom?
-Starship Troopers, by Robert A. Heinlein. ^^ Love that book. His other works are just as awesome though.
3. what is the capital of Assyria?
-Well it was Assur, but that nation doesn't exist anymore. :3
4. Do you have any game/movie/tv-series that you won't watch/play out of principle, even tho you know you'd prolly enjoy it?
-Hrmm... Nothing really comes to mind at the moment. I don't watch any TV. If I want to see a movie, I go see it. If I want to play a game, I play it. Simple, really. ^^
5. What is the biggest or hardest betrayal that has ever happened to you? (f.ex your dad promised to take you out for ice cream when you where 7 but broke his promise)
-Hrr... Probably when I was just getting into high school, and my then best friends suddenly decided they didn't like me, and told me to go away and never come back. When I tried to find out what the hell was up, one of them attacked me. I was friendless and depressed for a good year after that little incident. :p
6. If you had to choose one religion to prove to be true, which one would it be? (can choose from any kind of fiction or media, it's all fantasy ;D)
-Bible thumpers and fundies keep insisting that Atheism is a religion, so lets go with that one. ;)
7. One kind of new technology your hoping to see within the next 10 years.
-Nuclear Fusion generators of a commercial grade. Fusion already works in the lab, but it isn't putting power into the grid quite yet.
8. What is your favorite/least hated adaptation of something? (f.ex a movie into a game, game into a movie, book into game ect.)
-Currently I'd have to say The Road, by Cormac McCarthy. They turned a bleak book into an even bleaker movie. :)
9. What is your earliest memory?
-I remember playing with family and the cats in the back yard at an old house in Ontario, during the winter. I'm told I was 3 at the time.
10. Lets say an alien race of furries invade Earth intent on world domination, what kind of alien/furry species would it need to be for you to want to have them as supreme overlords before starting to convert the human population? :P
-Dragony critters would be nice. :3 Failing that, some kinda dinosaur or lizard.
11. What can change the nature of a man?
-Society, bearing down on you with its troubles until you either adapt, or break in half. ^^ Wooooo, positive!
And now, ZEE RULES of this meme! :D JOY.
1. You must post these rules (DO IT).
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves in their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 11 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged him/her.
6. No tag backs (unless it's a booty call).
7. No stuff in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you are reading this." You legitimately (AKA, really, truly, with all honesty) have to tag 11 people.
Meh, I'm not going to tag 11 people. Seeing as there's far more than that on my lists! If you want to do this meme, doooo eeeeet. Here's your 11 new questions! ^__^
1. Do you believe that sentient life exists in the galaxy other than our own?
2. What is your stance on the colonizing of our solar system?
3. Would you prefer a high technology society brimming with mega cities, or that same high tech but spread out into Agrarian pockets the world over?
4. Fat or Inflaton? :3
5. How big is too big for you?
6. What book are you reading right now?
7. Would you rather have a nice car, or the use of a great mass transit system?
8. Would you sign up to go live on another world right now?
9. If you could be turned into your character, internet self, alter ego, inner being, whatever, would you?
10. What is your favorite genre of literature or film?
11. Would you like a Fyreworks Muffin?
4. both
9. Yes
11. YES PLEASE <33
1. Yup, of course.
2. It's a good idea in theory, but in practice, it almost certainly won't work. We can't even work with 1 planet, never mind 2.
3. High tech, but in lil pockets all over the place.
4. Faaaaaaat~
5. Too big is probably when it's completely impossible to tell when the body ends and the tail begins. Or they all just merge into one.
6. I don't read, weirdly.
7. Mass transit.
8. Oh, definitely. :3
9. *NODNOD!*
10. I like a good comedy, but also a good horror and those weird B-movies.
11. Do I even need to answer that? :3
2. Why isn't it done yet!? Oh right, we're too busy killing each other.
3. Agrarian pockets...they sound tasty.
4. FAT
5. I like the barely mobile size, personally. Immobile isn't bad but there's not much to do after that, other then be fed and tended by yer followers.
6. Wikipedia
7. Nice car. I'm getting too fat for buses.
8. Maybe. Definitely yes if it's Minbar.
9. Hell yes!
10. Sci fi
11. I'll take one.
I too figure there's got to be more than just us out there. ^^ The universe is vast, after all. And it sure would be nice if we could get out there and start colonizing already! Considering plans have been on the table since the 70's. But yes, wars and such are FAR more important.
1. It's hard to say, Ofc I want there to be other intelligent beings out there, but since we so far haven't encountered any or seen any signs of any YET, it sort of leans towards the other direction.
I mean we still don't know how rare the existence of life is, if we would manage to find some bacteria or fish swimming around on Titan or anywhere else it would be absolutely brilliant and strongly suggest that life will spring up wherever it can. :D
But there are also other factors, such as time. Maybe the other intelligent race out there has already been extinct, or by all possibility, we could be the first that has sprung up in this Galaxy.
And lastly technology. Everything we know so far proves that faster then light travel is impossible, and alien races out there would likely encounter the same obstacle as us in that department, part of me sadly believes that even if we find out that there lives a friendly intelligent race 3000 light years from here, we could never go visit them. :<
2. I'm a firm supporter in it, not only would it help advancing our science and technology, but it would open up more possibilities of resources and increase the odds of humanity surviving a possible apocalypse. ^^
3. I would loooove mega cities, both options are fine, and it's never wrong to get away from the city life some with some quiet "but still comfortable" nature. X3
But if I would have to choose one then definitely bring on the towering skyscrapers. :D
4. Inflation, but fat is cute too. ^_^
5. Are you talking about people or something else there? ;3
If we are gonna stay on the topic of space then Jupiter is probably too big for me, I would be scared witless probably if I lived on a planet and looked up, seeing a massive gas giant. X3
6. Neuromancer, tho I'm taking my sweet time with it. I'm actually trying to read a concept artist magazine I bought first since it has the least pages. :P
7. mass transit system. It's greener, cheaper, faster. (most of the time)
8. Definately... well... maybe ^^; I'm still kinda scared of space, so I might chicken out if it was REALLY happening, also it of course depends on where this new colony would be.
Trapped inside a steel bunker on a desolate rock might not be so fun. X3
9. Probably not, I don't really consider myself having an alter ego, I'm just being myself... just more fluffy and snuggly with the ability to grow quite a lot. ;3
10. Sci-fi, big surprise there if you've been reading my previous answers. ^^
But I also love a good fantasy or really any genre if the book is good.
11. Let me read the print for side-effects first.
And my muffins always have side effects. ;)
2. Do it. Now. Please invent quantum internet too.
3. Agrarian pockets, we don't need overpopulation. I like green forests and blue/clear water...not uh...brown forests with brown water and brown skies.
4. Chubby bums =D - You know which only kind of the latter.
5. NEVER.
6. Pocket Ref 4th Edition
7. Both! Well, the car only if it's a heavily customized, armoured, armed, all terrain, water traversing, able to fly and doesn't rely on fossil fuels.
8. Internet connection with Earth needs to be accessible there. And self-sustainable living.
9. With every aspect and detail? Fuck yeah.
10. Action, Comedy, Fantasy and Sci-fi all equally.
11. Nope! I can do that myself!
Dragonbutt.
And SPACE. NOW.

11: Attachment to Material objects. alot of bad things happen because some people are just overly attached to material things.
and for the second set i'll post later.
No i do not believe that sentient life exists in the galaxy, mainly because there is no evidence to suggest some. This being, does not that there may be some out there, but in the meantime, I would need require extraordinary evidence to make the thought change. :3
2. What is your stance on the colonizing of our solar system?
It is a good thing for science, exploration, increasing the survivability of life from Earth and to those businessy folk it is good economically. D: Like there is a lot in the way of resources in this solar system, let a lone the universe
Anyways I would think it would be a good start.
3. Would you prefer a high technology society brimming with mega cities, or that same high tech but spread out into Agrarian pockets the world over?
The question I ask is how high technologically advanced would this society be and posses?
4. Fat or Inflaton? :3
x3 That is a tough one, I could say fat... inflation... no fat... inflation... no fat... infl...
5. How big is too big for you?
Nothing is too big. :3
6. What book are you reading right now?
Well I was reviewing Barron's E-Z on biology before school. 8U But with school in the way, there is not a lot of time for leisure reading.
7. Would you rather have a nice car, or the use of a great mass transit system?
Well that depends really... relative to a city, town, village or a rural environment?
8. Would you sign up to go live on another world right now?
I don't think anything really.
9. If you could be turned into your character, internet self, alter ego, inner being, whatever, would you?
Be fat and grow, of course. Maybe do what I can to have fun and make it so that other people can have fun. I might do more... not sure... 8T
10. What is your favorite genre of literature or film?
Film : Documentry
Literature: ummm basically I am interested anything knowledge based, I am not too much into fantasy, outside stories of which you make Tombs... but largely in the sciences is what I read.
11. Would you like a Fyreworks Muffin?
I would like one yes. :3
7. A city, what most of us will wind up living in sooner than later. :D
And muffins for you! ^__^
7. If it is in a city, definitely an awesome mass transit is a good requirement.
Huzzah! 83
