Edit: Edited out unnecessary information. Long story short: My car was put into the shop. I was told it will pretty much cost me $1800 to fix what is wrong with it. That is how much I bought my car for. :l I just told them to do the temporary fix (Which came to about $200). So now I need to start saving up for a new car.
The money I raised from my last journal will be put towards helping me pay for my car. (I have till next weekend to buy new work clothes so hopefully I'll come up with money for that before then haaah.)
I will be offering limited slots for various things. I do not want to open up unlimited slots since I don't want to take more than I can chew :c

Edit2:I was originally going to have these done by Wednesday, but I am adding more slots due to my situation. That means I probably won't have everything done by Wednesday ;__; but I will try and get everything done in a timely manner!

I'm a bit embarrassed about why the car has a problem in the first place... it was overheating a month ago, but it was during a time where I HAD to drive it. Apparently that caused a gasket to blow? I think I'm remembering what the lady said correctly. There was something else but I can't quite remember D: I'm picking up my car tomorrow and they're going to include a diagnostics of what they found wrong with the car so I'll be able to have something physical to refer to.
I'm not entirely sure if it's worth it to fix my car. :( It seems like I'm in the shop every other month for some issue. I've only had the car for two years but I've poured hundreds and hundreds of dollars into it already. It's a 1999 Chrysler Concorde with over 100,000 miles on it. It just seems like the best option would be to find a more reliable car that doesn't require as much maintenance. Then again, I know nothing about cars and I'm not even sure if that's a good idea. Aaah D:
also, you can probably get a Toyota Corolla or something small and efficient, as well as reliable, for around the same price if you're willing to compromise on space.
A blown head gasket is definitely major surgery on an engine. You can confirm the diagnosis if you're blowing steam out with the exhaust and the coolant level is going down without any visible leak, or if you can see exhaust bubbling up inside the radiator. Oil in the coolant or water in the oil is another sign. Considering what you've described about the car it probably would be best to go with the cheap fix and save your money for another car that's inexpensive but reliable. If you have any friends or family members who are knowledgeable about cars and mechanic work, bring them along to inspect any car you're thinking of buying so you know whether or not it's worth buying.
