I thought this would be a interesting idea, so...
Hello, and welcome to the 1st Clean Artist contest!
This is how it is going to work:
First, to decide what the contest is going to be about, anyone who wants a chance to get free art can post a link to their reference sheet on this journal. You will then be assigned a number.
Next, on 11/6/11, five days from now, I will randomly pick a number. The reference sheet that belonged to that number will be the object of the contest.
Then, once the fur/persona has been picked, everyone will have until 11/21/11 to draw a image of the chosen per/fursona.
Finally,
chaojimbo, 
lcarens, and three other users will pick what they consider the "Top 5" of the artwork.
Then, lcarens will take the results and compile a "total" Top 5 for the contest.
We will hold a contest every month.

also, exactly how complete does the reference sheet need to do? I've never made one and I don't know how ^^; what information needs to be included?
oh and is the person whose character is chosen for the subject allowed to also enter the contest? and how do you plan to choose the other three judges?
The reference sheet doesn't even have to be a sheet, it could even be a reference image or description.
The chosen user is allowed to enter the contest, and the other three judges will NOT be announced but will be chosen by
oh...another question...must one be a member to enter? obviously one must do clean art, but can people who do all levels of art offer their clean art or their character for the contest? [I vote for yes, welcome everyone to do clean art]perhaps we need to have a very clear objective working definition of "clean" for this.
I'll try to get some other people into this aswell ^^
