   {Scene}

   As Bale looks to the sky.



Bale: So you left me...



[narration where he is attack rushed by Akira, but he grabs Akira's head tightly, causing him pain as he brings Akira's face to his own]



Bale: In who's name do you speak?

Akira: AGH! Tsh-WHAT?!?!

Bale: For whom do you offer utterances?

Akira: Let go of me!

Bale: Are you too laden with many burdens?



[narration conveying a struggle]



Akira: I ain't gotta tell you SHIT!

Bale: Lowborn... *[suggestive actions]* It isn't fair. But I guess humor was at the forefront of the idea, otherwise this would not be.



[narration involving Shila]



Bale: You.

Shila: *[suggestive actions]*

Bale: I'm looking for a certain person, though I doubt that you have ever so much as happened upon him. Do you dream often?



[narration]



Bale: I'm beginning to believe that he is beyond my reach. But considering that he may be in a moment of regression, he may be closer to us than I know.



[narration centered around Bale and Shila]



Bale: What ails you? I honestly don't think that a child your age could be allowed subconscious visions of such a...horrifically powerful being. But if the name under which you offer up your prayers is in fact that of whom I suspect, then may Heaven give you rest. No one should ever say His name. But in youth, the ignorance of innocence is unavoidable. What a terrible religion.



[narration]



Bale: I want...to stop him. I want to give your side a fighting chance. But I haven't a clue as to where I should start. I was abandoned too. But that doesn't mean that innocent beings like yourselves should suffer. To have placed such a daunting task in the laps of mere children...



[narration]



Bale: *to Akira* I didn't think you were that strong. Or, to be proper, I didn't think that you were loved as much...

Akira: What? "Loved?"

Bale: You saw Him, didn't you?

Akira: Saw...who?

Bale: You saw the devil.

Akira: I can't...remember...

Bale: You were only a child. It's understandable, yet...

Akira: "Yet" what?

Bale: ...He spared you?

Akira: I don't even know what you're talking about.

Bale: The memory... It's incomprehensible to you, isn't it?

Akira: Incomper...what???

Bale: The fiend. I don't doubt that he stole MANY things from you that day. Here you are, alive and well. But if He had so chosen...

Akira: ...

Bale: You're not blind. And your hearing hasn't diminished. However, I believe that He robbed you of the one thing you could not regain in all your life...

Akira: Like what, dude?

Bale: Your very sanctity of mind.

All of this is subject to possibly extensive editing, as I do not feel that any of it is consistent just yet.

I wanted to characterize Bale. I have a few vague ideas in mind for his appearance, and a very simple idea in mind for, yes, "what his voice sounds like." For the most part, he sounds like a solemn human being/humanoid being, but in a slightly "altered" way. I've always had ideas in mind that would imply that the larger characters - and the unorthodox characters - have distinctly different tones of voice. I'm no expert on sound though...

I'm honestly undecided as to whether or not Bale should be a "friendly" character, or somewhat of a "shady" figure like Chanda. There are simply too many ideas in my head that surround him. X.X



I haven't really developed ALL of my characters very "far" just yet...
