I work at a Medicare call center (dabbles in a slight bit of Medicaid stuff too), and at your point, you might not be surprised how much misfilings, red tape, and bureaucratic bullshit people having to go through just to get stuff done. And the amount of times we hear 'Oh, I just talked to them, and they told me to call you' when it's THEIR job to do it. Yeah, the whole of the system is complete shite.

They also have 10 people to cover the whole state.
Why might that be.

Yeah, only 10 to cover the whole state? Either they're lying, or horridly understaffed.

Exactly. The call center I'm at has well over a couple hundred people just for medicare calls alone, so I don't see why they can't get more than 10 people for that job.

Its the understaffing of the people who file the claimes that is the problem

Agreed, hence why it can take a few months for it to even possibly be filed.

In our case, we have to specifically escalate them for them to even have a chance at that. Filed normally, they'd take the normal time.

At least file the ones that are urgent first. That way the people who need the most help, can get it a bit faster, even if its only by a few days or even a week.

Is it that hard in the end. What most do not realize is, as far back as I can remember, it has always been like this for us. I am tired of being th one who cannot do a damned thing. I mean, do I really have to become PREGNANT or a JUNKIE as the woman had said in order it get help. Then her saying what she did to my mother, when it was uncalled for.

I know that its not always how it works, but I will be Damned if it will kill her, cause that is what will happen without her medication.

If I was able to make any remote impact, that'd already be the case. But, as we've all learned through the ages, yet never really learn from, truly good logic is never used or listened to or even so much as reaches the level it would need to to be able to do anything. Sure, I can send in feedback with suggestions/views/etc on my end, but does that mean it will actually even be truly heard? No. And that's only part of what's wrong with the systems in place.

But it is a start.

I will start a petition if need be.
I just can't lie back and do nothing.

The health care reform does not help.

A petition would likely get farther than me saying anything, I can guarantee that.

How would one get a pettition started though.
I may be an adult, but I never have done one before.

As for that, I don't know. I think there's some petition sites around you could try though. There's some where you can make a petition and have people sign it on the site.

Hell, I had a call from a guy yesterday trying to find a way to get a certain med covered that was vital to keep his wife alive. Heart transplant med, if I remember right, not 100% sure. But, full price: $50k every 2 WEEKS. <- the hell? Oh, and his employer coverage lowered it to $26k instead. Still, I don't know who makes those prices, but screeeeeeew them.

Jesus... that is horrible to have to pay that much

Yeah, my thoughts, to say the least. Next worse I'd even heard of was 7500 a month before coverage. Though, due to their medicaid, only 3.30.

This proves how medical facilities do not do their jobs. All they do is basically wait and stall for time until it is time for them to punch out. They don't care at all about the people, only their pay checks. That tells us how these people are messed up.

And sadly, it has been like this for as long as I can remember

Unfortunately I am not a doctor, and I'm just learning about the function of the body and care, but I love to help, however as you may not have medicines or medical appointments, but I live in Mexico I think I should even any doctor who can serve you well, that's why I hate humans

Well no wonder they are human to not like to help. Maybe you can sue, after all if well with their patients are a danger to everyone.All that matters is that you can restore health.
