Terms of service:

-To commission me, email elmenora[at]gmail.com with your information for a quote, or reply to an "Open commissions" journal. Include "commission" in the subject line of all emails.
-Please provide clear, concise descriptions of artwork desired. This may include visual references, photos, etc.
-DO NOT send payment until I have confirmed your commission slot!
-I have the right to refuse any commission order, or to cancel at any time due to customer conduct. See "refunds."
-I will ship originals of traditional artwork for the cost of postage. All packages are sent from California, USA. I use bubble mailer packaging with cardboard protective insert and ship parcel post. Insurance is automatically included on orders over $100, any other desired features must be requested.

Payment:
-I accept Dwolla (preferred) and PayPal. All other payment methods must be agreed upon in advance.
-I do not begin work before recieving a deposit of $10 or 25% of the total price, whichever is larger.
-Full payment must be made before I will ship art or send files without watermarks.
-Please, DO NOT mark payments as "gifts" or add extra money for paypal fees. This is against Paypal's TOS. However, I don't mind tips if you're happy with the service.

WIP and revisions:
-Work in progress images will be sent for review at the following stages: sketch, line art, final colors.
-One revision is allowed at each WIP stage. Further revisions will be charged an extra fee on a case-by-case basis.
-I will not continue work on a commission until the WIP for each stage is approved. It is the customer's responsibility to ask for any desired changes.
-I don't do major revisions on sketch, icon, badge or bookmark commissions.
-If you want to see how your commission is coming along, let me know and I will send an update.

Cancellations and Refunds:
-The customer may cancel a commission at any time.
-if no work has been done, cancellations get a full refund minus $5. Once I've begun work on a commission, cancellations will get a refund minus my standard commission price for the amount of work completed, and the customer will get the WIP art.
-If I cancel a commission due to customer misconduct, I will refund payment minus amount for work completed, and I keep the WIP art.
-If I must cancel due to unforeseen events I will refund 100% of funds received and send any completed artwork to the customer if desired.

Rights and Usage:
-The customer gets noncommercial rights to the commissioned artwork. This includes displaying it on personal websites, making copies for personal use, etc. Credit must be given to me as the artist, including a link to my website if applicable.
-The customer may not sell the artwork or copies of it, and may not use it for commercial purposes (banners, advertisements, etc) without written permission. I'm willing to negotiate this for an extra fee.
-I retain full rights to all artwork, and may display it online, produce/sell prints, and use it for any other purpose. I may publish WIP images or livestream work on the commission. If the customer does not want their commissioned artwork displayed publicly, they may ask for it to be a private commission.

Private commissions:
-If a customer does not want me to display their commission publicly, they may request a private commission. I will not publish the art online, make prints of it, or use it in any portfolios.
-Private commissions must still be credited to me if the customer displays them.
-since most of my business comes from people seeing previous work in my gallery, I charge an extra fee for private commissions. They'll be three times my usual price for the type of art desired.
-I may require some subject matter to be private. All extra fees apply in this case.

Will and Wont draw:
-I will draw almost anything rated PG-13 or less. This includes animals, humans, fantasy/hybrid creatures, natural settings, anthros, multiple characters, and much more.
-Anything rated R or higher must be a private commission, because I strive to maintain a family-friendly gallery.
-I WILL NOT draw extremely graphic sex/violence, anything with feces, urine, or vomit, or anything depicting illegal or hateful acts.
-If you're not sure whether I'll accept something, ask! The worst that happens is I say no.
-I must get written permission from the creators of all characters/fursonas in the commission before beginning work.
