She enjoys portraying herself as a half-aware and dimwitted beast, drunken in the stupor of her own bodily composure.
Just for reference: Monitor is basically a religiously inclined slith, of the reptilian "slithzerikai" race (The slithzerikai, nephilim, and nepharim species that I use were created by these folks: www.spiderwebsoftware.com ). He is one of my still-sketchy characters, at this point. However, I have an old submission in my gallery that centers around him. It's a self-insertion story, done from his perspective (it might be hard to see with the dark green text. I still need to make many changes to my older stories, for convenience's sake.
For now, the story idea I have in mind isn't very "developed" at all. I have it in mind to make it coincide with another story of mine that centers around Nigel, which isn't finished nor submitted, but is posted in a journal here: (link) Weakness - That Crushing Feeling I also have it in mind to include a certain one of my angelic female characters in it. But that's highly uncertain for now.
Basically, the only idea I have for this supposed story is "a particular moment of fear" experienced by Monitor, and in reference to a realization of something potentially life threatening. The idea is, he's attending a specific event, and he listens to someone speak (maybe a special speech? It's too underdeveloped to say for now). They mention something very specific to Monitor's concerns, and as he gradually absorbs the meaning behind the message, he begins to feel a growing sensation of fear with each passing realization. Then (this is still very underdeveloped), he begins to secretively exit the place of gathering where the event took place, because he has become terrified upon realizing a daunting thing, and tries to run for his life. At this point, the angelic character pursues him.
The brunt of this tiny idea lies in narration that details the reasons behind his feelings of horror, and describes the nature of his fear in vivid detail. I've always wanted to narrate a moment in my stories where someone either begins to feel terrified, or rises to meet a challenge of some sort. I want to put the reader in the place of the character whose reactions and emotions would be described, giving them a sort of "close connection" with the person who is confronted with any manner of adversity.
I like styles of narration that emphasize adrenaline and uncertainty. It would be like trying to narrate the tensions of a moment like what people watch in action cartoons on TV.^^ But for now, this is just wishful thinking.
I actually have a section of dialogue trading typed up that would take place some time near the beginning of the story. It concerns a matter of "tardiness" on Monitor's part, and another man's brief observation of that factor. Monitor inquires about Chanda (who is there because she plays an important role in what is about to take place), and the man reassures him concerning her involvement. That's all I have for it right now though.
Overall, this story would expound on the two religions of my story, the followers of which are called "Salvationists" and "Enigmatics."
Generally, the themes and concepts in the other self-insertion story I mentioned - about Nigel, not Monitor - would coorelate to those of THIS story. But another sketchy thing I have in mind is that that story doesn't exactly tie into the one about Monitor because, supposedly, it took place during a different time period, where Nigel was younger, but a bit older by a small stretch.
I honestly haven't taken too much time to develop the many facets of my overall story that this story would reference. I've had many inspirations for it come and go, but it's still something of a large "grey area" in my universe.
