Okay so here are my thoughts on a contest. I have a few characters I've developed over a long time representing things I love very much. Most of them represent peace, giving happiness to others, and loving the world.
I'm beginning to put together a book for these characters, with a half sculpted cover, to keep with me for the rest of my life, and display in my home in a place of honor.
So here's the problem, I don't have much content for it yet!
I was thinking of this. Draw, sculpt, write poetry etc. about a character I've made (I'll make a list of the ones going into the book)

-Running until Feb. 1st unless someone wants an extension! Just ask :)
-To enter or vote, you must be watching me! You must also make a journal showcasing my contest (pimp it out!!)
to make sure other people get to see it and get the chance to enter :3
-You can enter as many submissions as you want of the characters listed below in the characters section
-You can make as many entries as you'd like, but can only win one prize.
-Submissions can be rated G-M By this I mean, nudity is acceptable, gore, basically anything but outright porn is fine lol. Please note me if you are more interested in making something explicit. I will most likely have kids looking through this book, but can make a different section of the book for anything not for kiddies.

-digital
-traditional
-sculpture
-doll
-poetry/song
-jewelry
-If the work is traditional, to put it in the book I'd love the original but if not thats ok. All that is required is that you send me the original file without watermark if you add one, unless the watermark is just a signature in the corner or something, then I don't mind at all.
-you have my word that I will not use this information or art in any negative way. I'm a respectable artist, I will not claim to draw or have created what you made for me, I will not redistribute it, I will however show it off to many people and take great pride in doing so <3
-If it is a sculpture or jewelry I will wear it or display it, and take a picture to be included in the book. I will not sell it or claim I made it.
Voting
-DA and FA are included. These are my two main sites, on each I will keep a journal with icons/avatars of the people that are entering, and their entry/entries next to them. I will have a voting week at the end of the contest where voters can scroll through this journal, check out the entries, and vote for their favorite :)
-To vote, you simply must comment VOTE +1 on the deviation you like the most!
***Please Note: This contest is running across my two main websites, if you submit your contest entry to me on one site, do not submit it as an entry to the other site. This will just confuse me because there will be a copy of your entry. You can submit your art on both sites, just not for the contest on both sites!
I don't want to judge the contest myself, but I also greatly discourage people from making journals telling their friends to vote for them. It isn't fair to people that don't have a big fanbase and have still put a lot of heart into their entry.
I might vote, not entirely sure yet.

Runner ups will get to pick one of these prizes, the runner-up with most votes will pick first, etc. The last runner up will get the left over prize, but if they want to ask for something else, like if it's a "manly" guy who doesn't want charms or a necklace, I could give him a $30 sculpture instead XD

The Wishing Panda is a sculpture I created inspired by the influence of pandas across the world and my own personal fascination of the beautiful animals.
These pandas are creatures I saw one night in a dream. They search the land eternally for the truest hearts, granting the deepest wish of those they encounter.
Peaceful animals that encompass all that is good in the world.
*I prefer a Quad version of this character, but anthro is okay too! As an anthro she would still be big and panda-like, with a sort of hunched back, not skinny or really curvy.
**I'd love to see a really spiritual totemic piece.

Info:
-Can be fully dragon, fully rabbit, or anything in between.
A character representing mother earth, time, and the change that ensues.
spring, summer, autumn, and winter forms. Also a dead-earth form
She is always changing, like the Earth.
-She can have wings,
-she can be scaly, furry, or both.
Dead-Earth form: which represents the direction the world is heading in. This one would be pretty scary.
You have lots of artistic freedom here. You could make spring, summer, autumn, winter, dead earth, etc. She could also represent anything encompassing the earth. She could have a mountain range on her back, represent a waterfall, be covered in vines, etc.
**The only thing consitent with her is that she had burning orange eyes, and is dragon, rabbit, or both, and earthy.
***Can be anthro or quadraped, chibi, cartoony, realistic, etc.
Boyfriend's 'sona
Okay okay, he doesn't have an official one yet, but I'd love some cuteness of us lol.
*No pictures yet but can draw sketches on request.
-He can be a magma shark dragon: either a non-winged beefy dragon covered in things like magma plates, or a wyvern form, still plated. I was thinking a glowing orb or luminous organ spots on his underbelly. He really enjoys Barroth from Monster Hunter if that gives you any ideas, though I'd probably like his head to not be that huge XD
-I was thinking he could also be a tribal monster with a skull mask, huge arms and claws, and little legs. Horned and would have a tribal necklace.

Human characters for those who don't like making animals. My and my boyfriend's characters from maplestory.
Xymra is a thief/bandit. She rides a giant rabbit and has rabbit pets that follow her around. If you'd like to see the giant rabbit or pets let me know :)
Lapux is a warrior/hero. He loves big swords and wears cool armor. If you'd like to make him I can send pictures of the different armors he wears.
They are in love, obviously, and enjoy catching fireflies, fighting monsters, having picnics, etc etc. (if you'd like to see my favorite monsters from the game just let me know)
I'd probably prefer something of them together just because yeah well you know he's my boy :3 <3
