Well damn, damn, damn. >:I (And unrelated comic things)
The logic board on my computer died (I'm using another person's computer to write this). I'll have to get another one, which will cost a big, fat pretty penny (and riiiiight around Christmas season too. Yaaaaaaayyyyyy....). Still as far as I know, I haven't lost any information on my computer, so I'm pretty grateful for that. Thank heaven for small favors, I suppose.
From what I understand, the logic board most likely crashed through the random happenstance of a power surge. Huge stroke of bad luck on my part, but sometimes shit like that happens.
On another note, I'm thinking of revamping my comic's setting (and a tiny bit of the premise) again. Mostly it's because the setting I have now isn't as interesting to me as I had hoped and while I have characters I can comfortably settle on, I just haven't found a setting I can put them in, yet (and totally NOT because I'm a fickle and easily-distracted bastard when it comes to these things). While sci-fi, alternative-reality stuff is neat, interesting and all, I've always had more of an keen interest in the fantasy genre (which makes me wonder why I just haven't done a damned fantasy comic in the FIRST place). So I'm probably going to do something in a fantasy setting with a strong emphasis on wizardry, magic, and European folklore.
Before I even think about doing a comic in this series, though, I'm going to do a lot of pre-production/development work on this. So while I will probably do pretty much unrelated comics with characters, it will probably be a while before I do a comic that takes place in this setting.
Might post some pre-production sketches and stuff on here before posting actual comics, for feedback and all that.
So... there you go. That's about it.

Well, I'm sure in the hands of another writer and/or comic artist, that setting would probably have worked out well, but it just wasn't as interesting for me as I had hoped. I'm hoping this fantasy setting will work out, because I do care about my comics and want them to legitimately go somewhere.
Oh man, I can only imagine something like that might be difficult to find. I'm always somewhat iffy about internet info at times, simply because anyone can put up some ill-researched info online. But, then again, sometimes you can find erroneous information in books and sometimes you can find some really, good legitimate info online.
It would be interesting to see a new setting :3 Any specific era it would be based on (still victorian, medieval, early 20th century, etc)?
The actual era would be kind of vague as to when it's actually set. Different races will have different dress, aesthetics of different eras (and cultures) in history though (humans are Victorian England, dog people are American Old West, Elves are Elizabethan England with some Art Nouveau flare thrown in, Dwarves are most likely going to reflect traditional Slavic clothing aesthetics and so on). I'm thinking technology will range. Most of the technology will be as advanced as the Renaissance era, although the most technologically-advanced societies will have Industrial Revolution-era technology.
Although, all this is still in the rough planning stages.
