So due to the popular demand.. Well, maybe not so much popular, but because a lot of people still want to have a group and continue to meet new people, have fun, and hang out... We have created Brevard-Furs!
This will be a profile for people from all around the Brevard County Area! We hope to see some old faces and many new ones in the months to come as we plan events and meets.
In order to meet people though and plan events, we have to know what you guys would like to do!! This is a journal dedicated to brain storming and different ideas for meets. Please feel free to comment with any ideas you may have below!
Thanks!

Stuff within Brevard
I know there was a beach BBQ sort of thing that I missed being able to make it to and rather wish I could have! So I'm going to add beach combing to that whole beachy idea of things to do. If anyone was feeling particularly helpful, combing could be paired up with picking up beach trash too. And if there is interest in less touristy beaches, there's Canaveral National Seashore up in Titusville. There's a nature reserve on the drive out that can be explored as well as the beaches.
Visitor's area out at KSC. I haven't been in ages but it would be neat to go again.
Cocoa Village. During the day its good for wandering around. It has shops, coffee, places to eat, a park and a riverside boardwalk. At night there are some places that stay open later for food and the bars open. If I go into the village its usually at night, a Tuesday and usually at Ultra Lounge because there is karaoke. (For anyone wondering, Ultra is a gay bar. They have beer and wine. Mixed drinks can be found around the corner at the Dog'N'Bone. Ultra also has coffee drinks for those who don't drink alcohol. It is non-smoking inside but you can smoke outside no problem.)
Certain times of the year the Indian River glows on account of baby jelly fish. (Late August and into September.) It would be hard to plan something for seeing this but if you haven't, and get a chance to go check it out DO IT cause its really neat. Grab a handful of rocks and toss them into the water and the splash glows teal! :) I'm just listing it here so more people will know about it. Its not really something you can drive along the road and see from the car. Streetlights kind of make spotting it difficult. One of the best places I've found to see it thus far is under the 520 bridge on the Merritt Island side. One word of advice though is to not go by yourself because the best places to see it are also the places where its darkest.
Another beachy thing to do it to go out to watch the cruise ships depart from Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral. I've seen groups of rays and sea turtles in the water from the pier out there too. There is beach access as well and would be a great place for a future BBQ kind of meet up.
Brevard Zoo can be fun!
If I still had my canoe I'd say lets go canoeing but I'm sure there are places around to rent canoes and kayaks. Would just have to do a little research.
Here is a whole list of parks!

Stuff outside Brevard
Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales is a nice, chill, day trip kind of place.

I like going to Seaworld when I can too. :)
When I think of more stuff I'll come back and add to this!
All those are great ideas. There is another local fur, Aethyx who has been trying to get people to go Kayaking for a while!
An I do think a Zoo trip is in order!
That being said, I'm more than happy to pitch in toward food and whatnot. I love the idea of another BBQ.
My reasoning behind this meetup is that I'm quite new to the area, and just want to get a feel for the Floridian Furry Fandom. I hope to simply relax an meet new people. Make new friends.
