Fatty Furries on Hold
Hey viewers &/or fans of Fatty Furries. Andrew here wanting to discuss with you viewers about something.
Now I haven't had this profile for too long and I probably still have a few/lot to learn about running a business & what the viewers are like around Fur Affinity. Though something my mom told me really made me think (Which will explain why I haven't brought in anything new for a while).
Back when I was visiting my grandparents, I showed her my creation that Sweeper Works released. From looking at the Fatty Furries pictures & the Fatty Furries short comics, my mom asked "Aren't you afraid that this will attract too many weird people?".
Now I ain't gonna point fingers at users that weirded me out (because that would be rude & would make Sweeper Works look bad), but I will admit that I have encountered a few users here that weirded me out. Basically, I feel that some of my viewers think that Sweeper Works is all about overweight anthropomorphics. I feel that some of my viewers think that I'm physically attracted to big girls and that this is a rp page. It would explain why the Fatty Furries get more views than Shadow, David, & everything else (Though it does prove my point that overweight anthropomorphics are infact popular).
Infact, if any of you saw the very 1st shout I had on my profile, there was someone who claimed I was "100% bats---", claimed that I needed therapy, and thought I was gonna make pictures of Kathy eating cheeseburgers. Then again, he/she was probably trolling me. I'm not gonna point fingers at the person responsible because I feel that if anyone that supports me decided to give the person in question a hard time for what he/she said to me, I'm sure he/she would send their friends/supporters after me. So I feel it would be best for everyone if we just left the person in question alone. I ain't here to pick fights &/or make enemies.
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make with you all is that there's more to Sweeper Works than just fat characters. The entire reason why I created the Fatty Furries is because overweight female anthropomorphics are one of the most popular things on the internet. So I felt I should make a series based on that interest.
But after looking at some of my comments & some of the notes I received, I am beginning to feel that my mom might be right. So I have decided to put the main comic series of Fatty Furries on hold for a while. They'll still be around and I'll get back to work on the main comic series in the future, so this doesn't mean I'm getting rid of them.
First thing I'm gonna do is finish my art trade with
Herro. After that, I'm gonna start on a completely different series that will have furries in it, but not fat furries. The next thing I'm gonna introduce will be something I made back in high school that people back then thought was hilarious. I'm also gonna put something in where you can ask any character from Sweeper Works (Including the characters from Fatty Furries) a question you have. Not all questions will be answered though, so don't send in messages asking "why hasn't my question been answered?".
As for the Fatty Furries, I might make a few pictures & some more Fatty Furries shorts. But for now, I'm putting the main comic series on hold.
If any of you have anything negative you want to say about this, I would appreciate it if you kept it to yourself. Cuz like I said before, "I ain't here to pick fights &/or make enemies".
Thank you for your time.

Just my two cents!
But I believe that there's more to some of these conventions than just sex. I don't even see why my parents are even worried about a thing like that, I'm an adult now. I've been an adult since 2010 (From what I understand, 21 or older makes you officially an adult).
I'd get a suit myself from someone who can make one, but I can't afford it with the hours my job sometimes gives me. Not to mention I'm currently saving money on a new computer.
Basically, I'm trying to find people that have an interest in dressing up just like me (I ain't just talking about to conventions & special events). Cuz it would be nice to know that I'm not the only one that does it.
And also, one of the reasons why "fatty furries" are so popular for people is because.... well.... it's a fetish.
So I mean, You draw something that is a fetish for people, and you're going to get popular very quickly. But you are also going to earn lots of criticism from the people who do not enjoy this fetish, and unruly praise from creepy stalkers who enjoy your art.
And oh god, I'd never tell anyone in real life about what I do here. This is my deepest, darkest secret, that lays somewhere in the innermost reaches of my chest, behind my heart and clogged with some broken arteries. I don't tell anyone, because... that's basically telling people "Hey, I have this super weird fetish for overweight half human, half animal... things." It just would not boil over well.
So, I think that right now, you're having a tad bit of trouble differentiating "popular" with "fetish." "Popular" attracts a bit of a different crowd. A crowd that is much less.. odd.
This site attracts some pretty cool people.
But for every one cool person it attracts, fetish-wise, it also attracts like three really odd and/or creepy people who just want to.... fap.
Do whatever you want, my friend, and well, if you enjoy drawing this stuff, then don't let the other weird people let you down. But I'd understand if you went away from this whole fetish thing.
Being labeled a "furry" comes with an awful lot of negative baggage. It's the sort of thing you hide away until the day you die, and then your grandkids will find your shoebox full of furry porn under the bed and wonder how they never knew Grandpa was such a freak.
