She enjoys portraying herself as a half-aware and dimwitted beast, drunken in the stupor of her own bodily composure.
It's an eerie thing, and really just a "spur of the moment" thought. I think it would pertain to Nigel.
It revolves around the idea of Nigel meeting a frightening (and deadly) creature. The creature wouldn't exactly be hostile, but what it would do - and I mean literally, the KINDS of things that it quote/unquote "WOULD" do in a situation - would be frightening in general. The idea is that this creature would be a sort of "friendly but dangerous" being, because generally, it would have a VERY misplaced notion of what it MEANS to be "friendly." The things that it would do to Nigel in trying to be FRIENDLY would be things that could potentially KILL Nigel. But it would only do these things because overall, it wouldn't have any other kind of appropriate concept of what friendliness even is in its mind.
The idea is very akward, and hard to explain. It centers around a very negatively implying circumstance that, all things considered, isn't really MEANT to be that way, but passively, is. I was thinking to make it pertain to a moment that would occur while Nigel is in Hell, which is a point in my story where many oddly implying things would happen.
This creature would desire to be Nigel's friend (and akwardly). But its attempts to show friendship could be potentially fatal, because what it would do would be the complete opposite of what a friendly person would do.
This whole idea stems from a very odd fetish that I've had for over 20 years. The 'fetish' is that someone would be associated with some kind of being or monster that never really desired to harm them, but very well COULD harm them. In some cases, the most prominent thought that comes to mind is that the ambiguous creature would generally threaten the weaker entity of the situation, and for whatever reason, such as the weaker entity being bound to the creature through some kind of pact or situation that would essentially be entrapment.
I just have lots of weird thoughts about "no way out" situations because I'm accustomed to that sort of thing. :P
One source of inspiration would be an old fantasy book that I read while in elementry school. It was called "The Dragon's Boy," and it was a sort of creepy story about a boy who stumbled upon a dragon's cave and met a dragon that kept him in a sort of binding agreement to keep coming back to its cave and giving it what it wanted from him. And in the end of the story, the dragon shows the boy a portal to an alternate world/reality, and offers to take him into that reality with him, never to return to his own reality. And the boy accepts.
There was a whole LOT of creepy-awesome stuff floating around back in the 80's/90's. Books and movies and cartoons and games...- lots of stuff. :3
