In any case, do what you feel like, even if the contest rules change, your still meant to watch a couple of videos (and with the new rules, any amount will be good enough) , write down your opinion and have the videos sorted in order from best to worst. That's basically it and do take your time.

I'm swinging around on my heels and will give this a shot. The only reason why I didn't say anything before
was because of life and time. (I came back and sampled your "Halloween Safety" vid and found it hilarious.)

Just out of curiosity, why is the dealine such a problem? I can see that the number of videos required is a problem and people likely would be more wild about this if there were more prizes and I could be more clear that I'm able to draw (almost) ANYTHING here (which are all things I intend to change.... the contest will get the rules changed, doesn't really change a thing for people if they are already in it, but it's less likely to scare people away from it)... but you say the deadline is too far away? I made it so long (and even thought of extending it way till the end of July) so that everyone can make it in time cause watching all 17 videos is quite a chore.... THIS IS NOT A DEMAND! A LOT OF PEOPLE GET THIS WRONG! I don't ask everyone to watch all 17, I just asked for 5 (at leasT), but I will even go for less and just demand 1 single video. Soooo this is why I did such a long deadline, but if you find it annoying, I can at least promise to not extend it more than this. How does that sound?

I think starting the contest at 3 or 2 months is more reasonable. It gives people plenty of time whereas I can see people reading this and planning to come back WAY later to join in. No one sees a point to rush to join then they forget about the contest after a while.

True, you have a point, but another reason I've created this "gap" is because I have college and during the first year, I really have to work hard, later I might get my own apartment which would make everything easier, art and videos, till then I'll be focusing on college, so I'm giving people something to kill the time with.

You have a good point there. I looked past the fact that school/collage is still in and especially with all the homework and stuff.

I would likely done so myself, but after having a close meeting with death in the hospital, I decided that life is too short and I need to make something, so now, at the age of 24 I'm in a first class of college and I want to get that bachelor's degree AND that apartment, I kind of became a lot more responsible in that regard.

Nice to see you have set goals. Sorry to hear about your near-death experience though. :(
I'm in first year at collage too and will finish next year. I am 19 right now and I understand the desire for an apartment. I wish you the best of luck in achieving your dreams for the future.

I can relate, saw a few of those story contests fail before.

I remember one where a guy offered to write a nice story, but one would have to draw a picture to deliver him inspiration. I was the only guy to draw something. He kept telling me I should ask more people to partake in the contest, but I refused cause I wanted to win. The contest ended and the guy all the sudden goes like: "If there's just one person in the contest, it doesn't count! NO REWARD!"

YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME ASsssss.... ehhhhh yeah, you get the idea!

In any case I feel glad to have people partake in this contest. Seriously, at first it felt like just 1 person would be here, but all the sudden people care and it's so awesome :)

Watched Farel-talks-about-nerds. I liked the message, and the delivery was fun. At some points it seemed a little disjointed or long, but the pop-up text and other silliness helped to make it enjoyable. The best of the two.

I LOVE him! I feel actually proud seeing my reflection in the mirror and how my eyebrows seem so similar to his and how I also seem to have quite a flexible face (not that I show much of it so far). It feels so strange to me, because ... people seem to HATE him, make fun of him, mock him..... AND I CAN SEE WHY!!! And yet I have the most respect for the guy!!!! It's so strange!

And HUH? You stumbled upon my videos? Look, I'm a nobody artist and a nobody video maker, how on earth did you stumble upon it? Honestly I made this contest EXPECTING people to not have seen the videos in the ever past before! I wanted to get some more viewer-ship, perhaps people would actually care or something.

And no problem, I made this contest for fun, to kill some time while I "study for my life", which is obviously not as true as it was meant to (under the doctor's advice, I'm stopping to learn as hard as I did before, or I'll do myself in), but the contest is still there and I'm kind of hoping for more people to get into it, but .... I sort of stopped fighting for it so much, if people don't want to be in it, fine! I gotta happy with whom I have.

I didn't stumble upon them, I found them via this contest, but I watched the ones I would have, had I stumbled across them on my own.

<coughs> Sorry! There are 2 ways to see reviews:
A) Someone's opinion of something that you can compare to your own views, perhaps to get some insight...
B) Someone's opinion on something you never saw/played, to find out if it's worth taking a look at or not
I notice your more the A type, while I'm more the B type (I don't have the time and the money to check out everything myself like that!)
Both ways are right and wrong in their own way: You could say that I'm wrong cause it's as if someone would tell ME what to think. At the same time I could say that you're wrong, cause if you have a set opinion on something then why do you need someone else's ... especially when you've spend the money on it already?

Obviously both are quite right, it all depends on the viewer and the reviewer. There's a lot of ways to give critique. My videos are made for the B types like me:
-I try not to deliver huge big horrible spoilers (I mean it's an obligation for me if what I'm looking at is actually REALLY good)
-I want to give people a taste of how the show/game is like (kind of)
-and then tell them if I think it's worth watching/playing or not
Your opinion/review of my review videos is meant to be mostly on my way of doing videos, not the target of the critique, your suppose to tell me how well I do this hobby of mine.... ssssoooo if you really would have the time at hand, perhaps you could actually take a look at some of the videos? I mean some of them are relatively short all things considered :)

And to answer your question: I am from Poland. I am NOT proud of it at all, and I actually dream of moving to Germany, but all in time, all in time :)
