I am such an original person that I thought now would be a perfect time to recap what happened over the last year (because no one else has done it yet).


While normally I would never look back on New Years on what happened during the year that has just ended (fuck the past, what happened has happened and it can not be changed), I feel like this time is different. So much has happened to me this past year that it would be a shame not to look back and realize how much I have changed as a person, as well as what I have accomplished. Rather than rambling on about every little detail of the year though, I feel that a list is easier. Also I just feel lazy today; I haven't even changed out of my PJs ^_^). So without further ado, over the course of 2011 I have;

-Found someone to love (who also loves me back) <3  tarucat <3
-Came out as being bisexual to my mate and another close friend
-Started to not hide my real self as much as I have before (since now I am comfortable with my sexuality).
-Became more involved in the fandom (first con, meets, fa, etc)
-Got an apartment
-Met a lot of really cool people  mustel  xxxbladewolfxxx  morearty  zarphus  iffyjottere  springdale (the list goes on)
-Survived another year


With all of this behind me, I now look to the future (2012). It dawned on me this morning at 4 (yes, only 4 hours into the new year) how much my life is going to change in this upcoming year, and not minor changes either. This spring will be my last semester as a student in college. I will be finishing the year by interning with the local Police Department, and if all goes well graduating in May with a B.A. in Criminology. While it will be nice to finally be done with school, it means I will be thrown into the real world with sub-par job market and little money to my name. To make things worse, my parents will be moving to North Carolina, leaving me up here by myself only months after I graduate (I have known this for some time now). While many people have that luxury of moving back into their parents house after college for a year or so to get some money before going into the world, I wont. My timeline is so small, that it is hard to even fathom how I am going to get everything done in such a short time frame. To give a perspective, the year will go like this:

-Graduate in May
-Find a job (hopefully in my career choice)
-Lease up in August
-Parents leave in September


So much in a year, so little time. Hopefully the job market will get a little better by the time I graduate.
