Attention artists!

Is it conceited that every time I take my clothes off I hear the 'Indiana Jones' theme song?
Hey everyone!
If you're reading this you are either watching this account or I left you a shout. Either way, we need your help.
Wes and I now own our own art supply studio! We are incredibly excited about the prospect and we want to be able to provide the highest quality supplies for the lowest prices.
I come to you today for help. We will be attending conventions and we want to know what you would like to see us carry! What pens/pencils/markers do you prefer? What are you always running out of at the cons? What do you always forget to bring with you? Is there a medium you've always wanted to try out? What kind of paper do you like to use? Etc?
I know your time is valuable and any input you can give would be greatly appreciated! We have the product and/or the ability to get it, but we can't bring our entire store with us! That's why we need your input.
Whether you're a casual artist or a professional, we want to cater to your needs!
This is an art supply business by furries for furries. Please help us make your convention experience enjoyable and your artistic endeavors profitable!
As of now, we are planning on attending these conventions (non-furry in italics):
Megacon: Feb. 17th-19th
Furry Weekend Atlanta: Mar. 15th-18th
Anthrocon: June 23rd-26th
Star Wars Celebration: August 23rd-26th
Mephit Fur Meet: Sept. 2nd-4th
[Schedule subject to change.]
Thank you so much for your time and attention!
Respectfully,
Spartan

FA+

I'm putting in a order for those right now. ^.^
Copic Sketch and Prismacolor markers
Prismacolor and Derwent colored pencils
Micron pens
Faber Castell pens, pencils and markers
Bristol paper/board
Cardstock (pre-cut in different sizes is great)
Laminating sheets for heat laminators
Badge clips
Prismacolor pencil sharpeners
Erasers
Something interesting might be to make up "sets" like for color work with markers or colored pencils, charcoal, chalk, oil pastel, etc. You could even custom design the sets for each person.
Btw, yes, I need to make an order from you guys too. XD
Pigma micron pens
Faber-Castell brush pens
Lead for mechanical pencils (personally I use .9 blue or red, but most people use .5 or .7)
9x12 Bristol (smooth)
Sakura Jelly-roll white
I also use dry pan watercolors and tube gouache. Koh-i-Noor makes a 24 pan twist together paint set that's cheap and ideal for travel paint. See here: http://www.threadsofimagination.co......;ItemID=koinor I use mine constantly. If you carry paints, I'd recommend some simple brush sets too.
Hopefully I'll be seein' ya at FWA, eh?
If you sold badge making sets for artists. Like a vinyl sleeve, of X size bristol board insert already made, and a clip. So all an artist needs to do it make the badge.
Sell in a package for the right price I'm sure some artists would find useful in this community.
As for supplies I'll use it all depends on the cost for me. I'm always shopping for Copic refills, new copic sketch nibs and Faber-Castell pens (especially the various ink colours than black)
Reeves coloring pencils/drawing pencils
Staedler Erasers
wire bound sketchbooks
sketchbooks w pockets
the thing I run out most of the time is the black pencil color, white pencil color and gray pencil color (maybe its just me)
but the thing we traditional artists love are inking pens, of all kind of them, I love my 0.05mm one, other people like 1mm ones
what else, uhm white ink pens (to give shinny effect on sketches or colored stuff)
(this is mostly me btw) glue bars, since I use plain paper I always end pasting my works on hard canson paper =3 but not many people do that so yeap
mechanical pencils for sketches, mechanical erasers (we love them)
avoid at any cost chinesse or japanesse imitations, no matter how cool looking they could be (keep in mind I said imitations) they always broke or end being totally useless
there are special stuff that are japanesse, like inking pens for mangas and stuff, but again, imitations are the things you should avoid.
portfolios to keep our works safe, thats soemthing we lack here in my country x3
I'd also suggest selling sketchbooks. Not for the artists, but for the commissioners, I often get asked where they could buy one!
Conbadge holders and conbadge clips! The typical 3x4", vertical or horizontal, or even ATC sized conbadge holders. Having clips sold separately can be handy, especially if people laminate their stuff instead of putting the badges in holders, and they might run out of clips ;)
Speaking of lamination, either offering a lamination service, or having lamination pouches available (NOT the self-stick kind, but actual hot lamination pouches) can be handy too. I've had to recently start keeping my lamination machine home cuz I just have too much stuff to bring, but I need *some* conbadges laminated because they're larger than average and are shaped.
I use Prismacolour markers for the most part, Micron Sakura inking pens, gel pens. Having a supply of those available would be handy :)
And I love the idea of having blank sketchbooks available, not just for artists but for anyone! I have at least 3 or 4 people every con, coming to my table and wanting a commission, but they have no sketchbook, either because they had forgotten it or it's their first con and they didn't know how handy they could be at getting sketches from their favourite artists. At last FurFright, I worked with a sketchbook in which I literally fell in love with the quality of the paper! I loved it so much, I wrote down the URL: http://piccadillyinc.com/products/sketchbook The paper in most sketchbooks, my inking pens just seem to HATE them, and they showed signs that they just wanted to curl up and die, going so far as actually looking like they were running out of ink and dying. Not for these books! My ink went on smooth and clean, and didn't smear when I erased my pencils. My markers didn't bleed over my lines, and barely even bled through the other side. Personally, if more people had these kinds of sketchbooks, it would make working in sketchbooks much easier :) The paper is thick and smooth, texture-free. Really nice stuff! Heck, I'm tempted to get a sketchbook of my own from Picadilly, and I don't even use sketchbooks! XD Wire-bound sketchbooks are God-sent. They're so much easier to work in then regular-bound sketchbooks, and I can just fold the sketchbook behind itself and work on whatever I need to do and they take up less space.
I do most of my stuff digitally nowadays, but it's always nice to have extra sketchpads (in various sizes) around. I usually use the Strathmore brand.
But I've heard good bound sketchbooks tend to be in demand, someone always forgets one!
