I obviously haven't seen much of Bleach.
Hearing of it doesn't help, nor does watching a few episodes so distant apart.
Nothing is related to each-other... its like, random things with no purpose...

you can't really watch a few random ones and understand it - yes the arc them selves are kinda like I think there have been 2 maybe 3 main stories with some filler ones One reaaallly long which had about 3 other stories in between it. The problem is watching a few doesn't do anything - i tried i was lost so i started from the beginning.

so just pick one just for the heck of it Espada - the big badies, for a while at least
Shinigami - kinda like the opposites of Espada
Vaizard - sorta stuck in between it all good bad yes and yes
