Elfanes in general and the fire elfane

trying to build up a small collection of info for the Elfane species in general..and info on Fire Elfanes too
pretty much all the info here is copy and pasted from posts made by
Ajna...the elfans species were created by her and only used with permission
picture mentioned and info comes from this picture: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3488503/
some general notes:
This is ONE character portrayed in each Elfane sub-type. The markings that he has are NOT universal. You can change the markings however you want. Males have STRIPES, females have SPOTS. Spots AND stripes can be seen on more androgynous Elfane. Not all Elfane have these markings. The character pictured here is an Aetherian Elfane(previously known as the angelic Elfane). The Chiropterian Elfane(previously known as the vampire or bat Elfane) would have fangs and horns instead of a halo, and the wings would be more bat-like instead of bird-like.
The hair style is generic. Most Elfane prefer longer hair.
Additional Elfane notes:
Their sclera is colored. The color of the sclera depends on their iris color. The pupils are always either black, or a very dark shade of their iris color. Pupils are slit like a feline in bright light.
Females only develop breasts during pregnancy. They usually fade once use has been stopped, though it isn't uncommon for a female Elfane to retain her breasts for many years after birth. They tend to be on the smaller side.
The Elfane are always digitigrade and are small. The tallest Elfane would be about 5'5". That would be considered "quite tall" to them. "Quite short" would be around 3.5". Anything inbetween is accepted as "normal".
Mating between two different Elements results in a Neutral Elfane. There are NO mixed Element Elfane.
Kitty went around trying to collect as much information as possible about the elfane species created by

How do they differ from other species?
So far they don't differ much from other species, but I'm trying to change this. Their build is like a cross between a fox and cat. They're shorter than the average human, they're usually digitigrade, and of course they have magic powers. The males have far less power than the females, and shorter tails.
So they guys have stripes, and the girls have dots?
Yes, the males usually have stripes, and the females usually have spots. A mixture of the two(spots and stripes) can be used on either a male or female, but a male can never have just spots and a female can never have just stripes.
Do their elements make a difference in appearance?
So far, the only effect their element has on their appearance is the color of their tail tip and markings. I want to somehow change their appearances more depending on their power, but I don't want them to look TOO different.
Can they have two elements?
No, they only have one element.
Do all of them have wings?
Yes, they all have wings which grow as they age, but they can use their powers to hide them to look more "normal" if need be. The Elfane are split in two. Birds and bats, basically. Their goddesses created them the way they wanted. The "angel" Elfane are created to be more birdlike, and the "demon" Elfane are more vampire bat like. The bird Elfane have feathered wings, which are white until they lose their virginity, which then change colors to match their fur. They also have halos. The bat Elfane have bat wings, longer fangs, and grow horns when then lose their virginity.
Why are their tails so puffy and long?
Two reasons for the fluffy tails. The males have smaller tails than the females, but still quite fluffy. This is because they live in a forest that is cold-climate. It helps keep them warm. The females tails are so long because it holds their power. If a females tail were to be cut off, she'd be just as weak as a male, maybe more, as far as powers go. The Elfane are not very strong as far as muscles, so they rely on their magic a lot. They do have very strong legs, though. They can run, jump and kick very well. The females tails are also prehensile, so they can grab someone and lift them, or they can wrap their tail around a tree branch and hang from it. The males tail is prehensile as well, but not nearly strong enough to do things that the female can.
Another big change I made is on the females. They do NOT have breasts unless they're pregnant or nursing a child. Otherwise they are smooth chested like males.
I want them to be quite animal-like, and animals only have breasts when their offspring need them. When they are pregnant, their breasts never get much larger than a large B or small C.
The whole species is meant to be quite androgynous. The males have wider hips like the females. The females like to grow their hair long, the males usually keep it short, but it's quite common to see a male with long hair as well. Also, an Elfane is never worried about being called "gay" for the way he or she acts. They have no rules on how feminine a female or masculine a male should be. Males are accepted if they have long hair and wear beads. (Elfane love beads)
The Fire Elfane have very long fur and their accent color is red. Their fur may be longer than pictured, but never shorter. Their body temperature is closer to that of a human, which allows them to live comfortably in their thick fur. The long fur helps to dissipate body heat, keeping them cool. Fire Elfane tend to be stronger in physical combat than other Elfane. Fire Elfane decorate themselves with darker rocks, coal, wood carved ornaments.
