I think, though the intention of these ridiculous laws are good, the loose definitions create loopholes. This is not just to protect artists. This is another way to get money from people to support more laws and government agendas.
THIS IS A WAR ON THE INTERNET! And I'm calling this out on behalf of every citizen OF the internet.
This is what I'm saying, and hear me out.
Every one of us on the internet, and by us I don't just mean FurAffinity, is in danger. If these laws (SOPA, Protect IP and ACTA) are passed, consider every one of us paying a hefty fine for making fanart and possibly landing in jail together. A large part of fandoms of all kinds is fan-made material, like fanart, fan-made remixes, fan-games and the like. Of course these are called "fan something" for a reason, and that is because everybody recognizes that the original materials (things the fan-blah is based on) are not theirs. They are expressing a love for that particular thing.
Think of this. Lots of people are furry fans because of The Lion King, right? Maybe not all of you, but a great number of us all. For all the Lion King fanart out there, as well as comics, games, music and fanfictions, is going to be getting removed. And the creators of said fan-material will be fined and possibly put to jail for a time. I'm pretty sure everyone here has done fanart of SOMETHING! So this really does concern you as much as the next citizen of the internet.
Think about every time someone did fanart of your character. You enjoy seeing that, right? Under these new laws, those people would be being fined for drawing your character without your permission or if you didn't specifically ask them for it. Outrageous and ridiculous, right?
I CALL FOR A RIOT! This kind of stuff cannot be passed and we MUST do EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING we can to stop it.

The only reason why most of these small websites exists is because of google
on a side note. These bills need to pass because i beleave it is the only way is it going to wake up people and get active about the shit the government is doing to us
im sick of seeing all this Occupy shit. its not protesting its camping on government owned land
