Storming the Bishounen Citadel

(Let, don't read this! ~>3)
So, I've been following with interest the developing storyline at Manly Guys Doing Manly Things about a were-bishounen. Coelasquid has a blog post at the first page about the tendency to favor bishounen only in anime and game fandom, to the point now where it's very common for people to draw bishounen versions of non-bishi characters, whether serious or not.
That got me to thinking ... why should bishi fans get all the fun? They can take our manly guys and turn them into girly boys, why can't we do the reverse? Let's all draw manly versions of popular bishounen and biseinen and show 'em how it's done! ~>3 Draw Squall from FF8, but make him look like Hugh Jackman-Wolverine! Draw Kamina from Gurren Lagann, but make him look like Jason Scott Lee! Sasuke from Naruto, built like Vin Diesel!
Let's all do it, and maybe we can make it a thing! (Hell, for all I know, this may already be a thing with a Japanese name on it, so let me know if it is so we can make it more popular!) I'm serious, do it, and leave links here, and if there's a good enough response maybe I'll make a club account or something.
To be perfectly clear: This is meant to be lighthearted, not hateful. Androgynous and gender-diverse people are good, and there's nothing against guys who are pretty and feminine. It's just that those are now the standard in anime fandom and manly men are the rare, rare exceptions, so it's only fair that those of us who like masculinity can play with gender in the opposite direction!

(Now if only I could draw better)
If only there are more manly anime characters that are actually the main characters rather than being a support and hardly have any appearances. Rare ones such as Ragtime Coyote Show. Need more like that. X3~
And yeah, it used to be a joke with a friend of mine to call me the Black Widow, because whenever there was an anime character I found attractive (i.e. big, beefy, and over 18), that character would always, without fail, get killed. ~>( It got to the point where they were getting killed less than a couple of minutes after I said, "Ohh, he's hot!"
And I know what you mean. It pisses me off too, cause its so true. :\
Its quite unfair, to be honest. Pretty boys always get everything they want, in anime logic.
The other thing that's always unfair is that people are always like, "Well, in american stuff the heroes are always big buff action stars!!" As if that counteracts the bishounen overload. But it's not, because action movies are a really small part of the media, and action movie heroes are really quite boring. They're all the same scowly guy, you never have a big buff fun guy, or one that's intellectual, or friendly, just the same "action hero" stereotype, while bishies get to be all sorts of characters. And even with action movies, there's been a big push lately for less manly action heroes, like freakin Matt Damon.
