"It's a journal from Summercat! And he writes:"
Hello all!
This is just a general infopage for both magazines.
Anthroview: Anthropomorphics Review is an approximately quarterly magazine that has reviews, previews, and articles related to things in the furry fandom - On Furries, By Furries, For Furries. Comics, art, stories, books - reviews on everything, plus serialized short stories and artwork.
Tales from the Neon Phoenix is an adult story and art magazine, meant to be more of a 'Slice of Life' style of magazine, all stories being told by patrons of the multi-universe transdimensional (A location that exists everywhere and everywhen) 'Neon Phoenix' - which can appear as a bar, dance club, pub, tavern, cave... The location and setting of the Neon Phoenix doesn't matter - it is simply a vehicle to tell tales and stories. Adult ones. Sexy ones.
Both magazines are generally estimated to be at 100 pages each, with full-color covers - and possibly inserts.
Art prices are negotiable, with stories and articles priced at a half-penny a word, USD. 500 words would be $2.50. What exactly is being sold?
* Right of First Post, up to 6 months. This means that I (well, once I get my company running, the company) gets to publish the article, story, or artwork first. This hold expires if the article has not been published after 6 months.
* Right of Temporary Sole Post, up to 3 months. For three months after being published, the only source of the article, story, or artwork is the magazine it is published in. After three months, this hold expires.
* Right to Sell in Original Setting. I have the right to sell the articles, stories, and artwork in the magazine they were originally published in, indefinately - but ONLY as part of the whole magazine it was published in. I can not, under this contract, take portions from multiple magazines and merge them into a single compilation - that would be a seperate contract (and payment).
All three items are negotiable, and not set in stone - these are the base offer that I start with, and unless there are any objections, would be going with. As of right now, this is a verbal contract - but I'm putting my reputation up as collateral.
---
Other Items -
Anthroview is rated PG-13, max. General audience acceptable, no adult/sexual material. You may review adult material in Anthroview, but you can't get too descriptive of them.
Tales from the Neon Phoenix is so adult it would make a nun dance on a pole in lingerie.
If you are interested in placing advertisements... due to the size of the magazines (8.5x5.5, Portrait), I feel I can only sell full page ads in good faith. I'm currently thinking about 5 pages of advertisements, max, at $10 each - first come, first serve.
Contact for either magazine is through FA or my email, bengaley.summercat[at]gmail.com
Payment is currently through check, only - they are sent electronically with a confirmation number from Wells Fargo, so you will be able to see/confirm that the check is in the mail. I am looking into other payment options, but would need a partner to handle Paypal due to Paypal issues. I can also work through Moneybrokers and Alertpay, as well as Google.
If you have any general questions, let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

FA+

Deadline is April 9th now. There is no theme set for either magazine (aside from ratings, obviously), and the Bar/Building Neon Phoenix is a metaphorical representation of the magazine and does not have to appear in the story.
And yeah, it's a fanzine - but it does count, since you're being paid to write for it.
I want to see about ~4000 words for installments. If your story comes out to 8000 words, then we can break it up across two issues.
I like that.
Good to see that the rough limits of 1000-4000 words are delineated. I forgot to ask that earlier.
Beyond that, you can sell it to anyone else, or sell it yourself.
I've been writing for 9 years now and I'd like to get some of my stuff more out there.
I'd probably be writing for the 'Tales from the Neon Phoenix', but I can also take a swing at the Anthroview... I'm open to anything you can throw at me!
Here I can send you an example of what I can do through email... is that what you'd like?
I'll await for your response before doing anything...

thanks, I'll send something soon.

GO UNCLE SAAAAAAAM!
In any case best of luck with the project!
My band has 3 albums to choose from if you'd be interested.

I might -but not promising anything- I might review your stuff for Anthroviewer. I've always loved your music, heard it for a while now, so if I do do something for Anthroviewer, you'll be first on the list!
Keep pumpin' that stuff out bud!
-RRR
I've only heard a few from that album, but the ones I've heard have impressed! As well, YSDM seems to have a wider genre variety then Look Left (Though I liked a lot of songs in that one)! You also mentioned that you all got new, better, instruments to play with in YSDM... so ya, if I do this, it'd probably be targeting YSDM.

Our BAND name is Look Left, the first one is "The College Years"
If you go to http://lookleft.us you can hear all 3 for free.
