I'm glad he's all right; logged in for the first time in, oh, about a year or so to say that. I know you've gotten comments like this before, but, so that this doesn't happen again, try to find out how you could keep him from wanting to escape so badly; there's usually a trick or two that keeps them happy at home. A lot of dogs, if they're exercised sufficiently on a daily basis, just plain get too tired to bother after a while. If you can, keep him inside whenever you're not out working off some of his excess energy, or taking him out to use the restroom. (If he messes up your home, there are a lot of training techniques you can do that just require persistence to work, and involve neither punishment nor a great deal of effort.) Obviously, you won't be able to walk or really play with him while he's recovering, but it's always good to be prepared. Even just tug-of-war or fetch are great.

All that wasn't meant to sound condescending, if it did—which I hope it didn't; I'm just trying to help how I can, and that's usually by going on the most magnificent tangents known to man.

As far as the issue with the users who were doubting the legitimacy of your claim, and being a bit aggressive about it—personally, I think it's just going to spark more arguments if you name the people who commented. It's your choice; I just think it might cause the trickle of drama you had before to get worse.

I put the name on cuz he was harassing EVERYONE, Usually I just ignore them. but he crossed the line on public, so I publicly asked him to leave us alone and stop his harassment and to show I won't do anything like that ever, even after this, I wish him the best, I'm being honest, I'm not the kind to hold grudges nor attack anyone... I have every intention of editing this journal and deleting that not.

I also don't want anyone harassing him back, cuz it only keeps steering up the mess. some one has to be the grown up right? Having 3 brothers 4 sisters and 7 nephews thoughts these values. Its ok to be angry, and make a point, but men he went over the point.

Anyways, About your overall suggestions are being taken note. truth is. Since I was force to move from where I lived before, its been very hard to walk Dahnte and tires him out of a daily basis. I know Huskies need their walk and all. I gotta organize better my time and spare him some more outside this house.

Fair enough. Like I said, it's up to you. I won't babble about it any further; you've definitely got enough to think about.

I can understand that, from personal experience. All in all, just make sure to take care of him; he might be really scared of cars and things that sound like them, or simply anxious in general. You seem like you honestly care about him, so I don't think I need to be spewing so much advice, but I can't help it sometimes, ahaha.

no he can't wear any... 2 reasons, 1- It would not help the pressure on the intestines made by the bone's fracture and 2- it would be harder to care his doodies and weewees. He need constant check up and clean up... Laying on his own pee could cause serious infections and ulcers. That was the Vets first warning :S

Oh, thank goodness things are turning out okay! I'm really happy and releived to hear this, and I'm glad so many people helped you out of kindness. I really hope he makes a full recovery, so take super good care of him, dude.

And once he's fully recovered, I suggest letting him sleep inside at night. Dogs need a minimum of 30 to 40 minutes of exercise, namely walking. It gives them the exercise they need, and it helps get that excess energy out of their system. If you do this during early evening, it could help keep him calmer when it comes time to go to sleep at night. As for tips about how to properly walk your dog, that comexs next time.

I am taking my Dog Whisperer thing so seriously for some time now. lol

hehe my mom saw that show and there was a hole episode about huskies, huskies need 2 hr of exercise, not only that.. its recommended to put some weight on them so they feel like they're pulling something. It makes total sense since that breed was created to pull sleigh.

Exactly. Also, you're supposed to be in charge. The leader of the pack, the Alpha. You cannot allow him to walk in front of you, it must always be either by your side or behind you. A light yet firm tug on the leash to keep him focused on walking, and use your leg to block him every time he tries getting in front of you. Patience and perseverance is key.

And believe me, it works. I've become so much better with dogs, so much more confident. My Mom's super spoiled yorkie now sees me as the Alpha. all my neighbors' dogs seem to see me as an alpha whenever they bring them by my bar. It's made me love dogs all the more.

again let me just say that a underground dog fence, or something like it is always good. Though I say that because unfortunately we can't always be there or sometimes a accident will happen. Kept my pup from running out to the road when I put it in. just saying

the fence needs to be replaced, this IS my grandmother house after all... its pretty old hehehe we were talking about making a Concrete wall (abou 2-3 feet tall and the rest of cyclone fence or steel bars) for it to work we would need a foot or two underground.
