After taking a small, informal survey I decided to do a bigger write up on the Altaria of Team Generations, one Miss Marie Allmon. This is based on the meme started by  gammaeradon and altered by  melfice


Home Life:

-Marie is the only daughter of a Dragonite father and Altaria mother. Her father was a Dragon Champion in a long line of Champions in the city of Blackthorn where there are a higher percentage of Dragon types than anywhere else. As such they hold the annual Dragon Tournament there.
- In her early life there was some disappointment by her father and extended family that she hadn't been born a Dratini and male to better follow family tradition.
- Early on she received intense training to become a battler like many in her line, though it was obvious from early on that she didn't have hear heart into it.
- Though at first her father was very disappointed in her for not being a born fighter he eventually came to accept her choice to become something else and grew to love Marie as much as her mother did.
- The rest of her family isn't so understanding and Marie has been threatened many times by Cousins who wished to prove themselves to their family or because they consider her a coward for not wanting to become a professional battler. As a result she hasn't been home since joining the PCA.

Personal Life:

- Marie is a very personable young lady who tries to stay cheerful around other students and has gained a fair number of friends as a result.
- Marie has a love of singing and can often be found belting out some tune or other. For a while she had trouble not mixing in her attack Sing and has put a few students to sleep despite her beautiful voice.
- She likes to collect and press flowers when she has the chance to roam around and find them.
- Marie is a terrible cook and has since given up on trying to do anything beyond putting something into a microwave. Even this has caused some issues for her as she's burned a few meals.
- Marie considers Tabitha to be her best friend because the Weavile had always looked out for her and has worked to help her on the battling front. Tabitha also takes Marie shopping when they get a chance to go, especially since Marie doesn't crack jokes about Tabitha's clothing choices being so revealing a lot of the time.

School Life:

- Marie is heavily involved with the drama department as she has a love of acting. She hopes after graduation to move to Hearthome City and join an acting troupe. She doesn't have much desire to go into movies.
- She's actually a fairly accomplished student regularly receiving high marks and being well ranked academically.
- Battle wise she's quite down on herself as she's not a top twenty ranked battler like the rest of her teammates. She often frets that she's holding the team back and limiting their over all ranking.
- She does have a strange fondness for chemistry class in that she likes using it to try and figure out new and better ways to do makeup or other special effects for plays to make them more lifelike.
- She currently resides at the dorms on campus and doesn't have a roommate after her last one had to withdraw due to family issues. She's actually quite lonely having a room to herself and hopes she'll get a new roommate soon if not by her senior year.

Love Life:

- She's always been skittish about entering into a relationship because she figures that a lot of the guys who've hit on her just want to be able to claim to have "hit that". With drama guys that might not be far off.
- She has recently started seeing another junior, Rupert Snales, though they're taking the relationship slowly. She has an honest fear that her parents might disapprove and is terrified of what the rest of her family would say given that they're extremely biased against non-Dragon types.
- While she has no issues with it, she does not find other women attractive in a romantic sense.
- Marie has done her best not to get caught up in the idea of romanticizing romance. She's been in enough plays to know about the ideal relationship but works to remind herself that doesn't happen often.
- She does want to find someone whom she can love as much as she's seen her parents love one another. Especially given how lonely she's been not being able to see her parents much.

Misc Facts:

- Marie is a competent battler, she just has self esteem issues keeping her from realizing it.
- She has a secret love of cheesy action movies, something she's hard pressed to admit even to herself.
- Marie's started trying to hang out more with Tabitha when she goes to visit the Tellamapolou family. While she still doesn't feel completely comfortable with it she's hoping to find a surrogate family in a way that Tabi has.
- She hopes that her lack of dating another Dragon type doesn't extend to her treatment by her family. She wants nothing more than to make them proud but knows she'll never be enough of a battler to do so. She's terrified she might come to loathe her own kind as a result.
- Has a tattoo of the drama masks on her hip. She received it after a rather wild cast party and has caused her to swear off the punch at the parties ever since.
