Top 10 list: Final Fantasy

I fear this franchise may be dying. FFXIII-2 was the first FF I didn't buy on its release date since FFI. I'm still immersed in Skyrim. Oh well. Everyone has their favorites. These are mine:
10. XII- The most controversial FF. Although my favorite games are open world, Skyrim and Fallout 3, it just doesn't work here. You either love or hate this game. I hate it. Terrible story plus totally boring characters equals a FF disaster.
9. X-2- Cash grab game. Playing dress-up with the main characters... Not what I'm looking for from an FF game. Not enough testosterone for me.
8. VIII- Okay story and somewhat boring characters. The draw system ruins this game. However, the card game is quite fun.
7. XIII- I like this game more than most people. The characters and story are a little flat and the combat system is not the best, but its still fun.
6. VI- Good atmosphere and music. Interesting characters. All around fun game, just nothing special
5. IX- Love this game. The main character, Zidane, has a tail...sweet! Fun game plus chocobo hot and cold: great mini-game.
4. I- The reason I am now addicted to video games. Before this game, I thought all video games had high scores: i.e. Missile Command, Asteroids, Pac-man, Donkey Kong... This game changed my life, for the better? probably not.
3. IV- The reason I bought a SuperNintendo. First FF with serious character development, cool plot, and you get to go to the moon!
2. VII- The reason I bought a Playstation. Revolutionary game: great story and characters especially Nanaki. Great villain- Sephiroth . Not to mention chocobo racing and raising: very fun.
1. X- The reason I bought a PS2. Epic story, fully realized characters, several truly tear-jerking moments. This is what Final Fantasy is supposed to be. Tidus>Cloud, Kimahri>Nanaki. You may disagree, but you'd be wrong.

Damn! I've never even played V. Some fan I am...Once I get a new PS3, I'll have to download it.
