A special announcement (and asking for advices)

When life gives you lemons, burn life's house down. Preferrably with life still inside.
Soo, as some of you have noticed, I have finished the hugeass commission I owed, and am slowly preparing a new batch. However, there are some opinions I'd like to hear from you folks regarding what I have planned.
The main reason why I am preparing this new batch is an attempt to gather funds for the completely new PC. This current machine I have has served me well for the past 5 and half years, however, as days pass by, it shows more and more that it's barely standing on it's last legs-occasional random reboots, shutdowns, occasional shortouts and all previous cures I had for those problems don't seem to work so much anymore, and I fear this thing will die on me anytime-clear signs I will definitely need a new machine. I've talked to my cousin who helped me sort out the components at the acceptable price and range of what I will need the new PC for-Internet, work on art and to make it strong enough to run some newer games, and the lowest price we could come to was 400 dollars. Which is gonna be my goal to reach with the current batch. Which is why I plan to make it a sort of donation drive.
So how would the thing work?
Basically, someone interested in getting a pic from me names the price. Depending on the price, they will get a pic within that price range-for example, someone donates 7 dollars, they'll get a single character sketch with background. Someone donates 30 dollars, they'll get a full colored single character pic with simple background etc. I will not do the commissions based on how much someone donated-first come, first serve. Also, I'll probably change my payment policy from "pay after the pic is done" to "pay upfront" so I can reach the goal sooner, and after the goal is reached, I will work on commissions for those who donated. If PC is still alive by the time the goal is reached, I will work on them on it. If it dies, I'll try to do as much as I can until I get a new machine up and running.
So, what do you people think?

I do like your other idea, it's just getting the clients that will be the chore. ^^
