PLEASE READ: CODE OF CONDUCT + ONE OTHER ISSUE
13 years ago
Anothah Wicked Awesome FurBowl Update! Hi Everyone In Light of the situation that arose, we have had to issue a code of conduct about behavior.
All Attendees MUST be on their best behavior. This is not a request. This means that all furries who attend must keep it PG Rated for everyone who attends. This also means strong language and mild language must be kept to a minimum and nothing of a sexual nature. People who are caught in violation will be spoken to and possibly asked to leave the property by one of the MassFurBowl Staff. These Staff Members are
Arinmal
nexusfolf and
lonewolf277
We ask that if you see a violation of this new code of conduct that you report it immediately to one of the above listed staff members and DO NOT take it upon yourself to deal with the issue.
As
put it "The problem is and this is no ones fault but any kind of excessive touching can be taken as sexual by other people depending on there upbringing.
Its sad this happened as are suitors are such good people but i know even my self at times will do something silly. Forgetting that everything done in suit is taken as face value in public
What may be normal in the fandom who are use to dealing with fursuitors is not always acceptable in public. As a suitor it seams that we all need to be more vigilant about thinking to are self is this acceptable in normal circumstances out side the fandom.
Not pointing any one person out i just think we should all keep this in mind. "
He is 100% correct most people are not used to fursuits so we have to be extra careful of what we do with our paws and actions, because what may seem innocent to us, can me misinterpreted in any by the general public.
We must remember that we have no right to be at the Alley, and it is only because the Alley ALLOWS us to be that that we continue to be able to use this facility. We are representatives of the furry fandom and we must remember it.
Also If we want to be continue to be invited back, we must contribute more to the alley. This means that either more people need to bowl or people need to start giving the alley atleast 5 dollars for showing. We had roughly 70 people attend and only about 15 people who bowled. This is not profitable to the alley by any means. So we ask that people start to give a little money, 5 dollars at the most if you're not bowling, or play a round of bowling. Like it was said above the alley is a business, and business's need money.

If there's another way to get them to contribute, that's fine too. I went to bowl, so I can only speak for what would work for me.
I did end up contributing though.
Also, I know that a few more dollars went into the token machine as well... And the vending machines.
Just for the record, if the party had been over on the opposite side (like the last MassFurBowl I attended) I would've been bowling a lot more, but I wanted to socialize and such with all my furry friends, and they were all over in the candle pin lanes (which I don't especially like and, as I said, I didn't play on much).
I realize it can't be controlled, because the other lanes were simply taken up. >_<;
But no swearing?! Da fuck?! :O
I kid X3
As for the $5 entry fee, I think that's fair too. I would say it should be $5 to go to this event, and an additional $5.20 per game for those wanting to bowl. If I go next time, I'll definitely pay the $5 to the cashier at the very least.
I know the candle pin was all that was available, but lord do I despise it. I'd be much happier with duck pin.
