Sooo, I've been wanting a unique gryphon character with a unique combination of animals.



The point of this contest will be:



Create the most unique gryphon combination you can think of 

Top half --> any kind of bird

Bottom half --> anything else

(without going TOO overboard of course! I want to be able to draw this character over and over without it being too much of a bother, after all! And perhaps make a suit out of it! ;D)



Judging will be based on creativity and not just experience.



PLEASE READ

This contest is cross-posted on a graphic chat (WolfHome) and the prizes were originally poses for that chat.  If you do not go on graphic chats the FOREVER PASS to my pose premades can be changed into a third 1000x1000 image of one character, no background)



PRIZES



1st Place

2 1000x1000 images of one character (no background)

AND

A FOREVER PASS to all of my current and future premades! (IF you already have the forever pass OR do not go on graphic chats like WolfHome, then a third image will be made)

OR

1 fully colored 8x10" 300DPI digital image, up to two characters, with minimal background



2nd Place

FOREVER PASS to all of my current and future premades! (IF you already have the forever pass OR do not go on graphic chats like WolfHome, then a 1000x1000 image of one character (no background) will be made)



ALL Runners up

Choice of any three poses from my premade topic!

OR

An unf/pelvic thrust icon if you do not go on graphic chat sites

Rules and Specifications

- You must draw your image, it cannot be a pre-existing image and it cannot be drawn by someone else!

- Entry must be in color!

- Can be done digitally or traditionally

- Image can be either anthro or non-anthro or both!

- If you can't think of a combination of two of the animals below, feel free to think of something else!

- You can enter as many times as you'd like!

- If you enter more than once, you may only win one prize.  If neither of your entries win, you will only get one runner up prize.

- If you don't win 1st place you have the right to sell the character

- I also have the right to change certain things about the winning character.

- I have full rights to the character I choose for first place

- House kitties! (Especially siamese, oriental, and Abyssinian) 

- Red foxes

- Rats

- Owls

- Finches

- Colorful birds!

- Small animals! Small gryphons are the cutest!



I also love greens, blues, teal, oranges, browns, and grey!  But you don't need to stick to these colors!

So is a gryphon a cat/bird hybrid as in mythology/fantasy, or pretty much any hybrid (unique combination of animals confuses me, plus your list of 'animals you like' D:)?

Any hybrid! The list of animals I like is there to inspire. I love those kinds of animals, so a mix of one or two of those animals, or some part of an animal in that list will certainly get you bonus points when it comes to choosing the winner.
