My wife

lokiblackfang died tonight. She was in a car accident. There was a headfirst collision with a tow truck around 2 o'clock this afternoon. I'm in shock. I haven't stopped crying since I found out. I don't know what to do. The second part is...

ponybird was in that car as well. He was the driver. He died as well... we were supposed to move into a new place today. So now I am homeless and jobless and I have lost my mate and a close friend in a tragic accident. I don't know what to do. I still love her... I wish I had been with her. I hope she will rest in piece. I will love you forever

"For some reason," (quoted from the news article I read..) Vex's car randomly swerved into the center lane of a four-lane highway and hit head-on into a tow truck. Loki died instantly. Vex was rushed in Jaws of Life to the nearest hospital, but died as soon as he got there.. The wrecks pictures are devastating..

Flinters told me about what happened. I'm so sorry. It's those who are left behind tho have to feel the pain of loss.
i was in a very similar accident almost 2 years ago when my jeep collided with a semi. I was lucky enough to have survived. *hugs* I myself felt no pain at all. I can only hope it was the same for them, and you can find some comfort in that.
I know you do not know who I am, but if you need someone to talk to who has been through a horrible accident and can maybe help answer any questions you may have about what happens during such.. feel free to contact me.

The one you loved is never truly gone, he/she is with you forever and always in your Heart. So in a way, you're carrying them wherever you go. Fuck, man... hearing the details about what happened and the effect it has on you just makes it hurt worse hearing about. I don't know how you're going to cope with all of this, especially having it all crash in at once, but I hope you find something to take the pain away without harming yourself. I know we don't know each other, and it's harsh to think that this tragedy is the only reason I've found out about you, but just hearing and seeing this happen to a fellow fur just pains me, too.

All that's left for me to say is that I hope everything will work out for you. You're still young like they were, hopefully have a full life ahead, and I just hope the other situations work themselves out, particularly finding a place to go. I didn't know either of them, but they sounded like amazing people, and to go at a young age...
Being Australian I can't help you with a place to live, but I know the Aussie dollar goes pretty far over there ATM, so if you ever need ANYTHING don't be afraid to ask.

And to see so many furs who didn't even know these people still pay their respects is absolutely amazing.
I really do hope things will get good soon, I really do. I'm sure they will want you to keep on living your own life to its fullest extent, I'd say live it for yourself and for them.

mutual obligation doesn't require love. Beyond relationships, people marry for other reasons than love: tax return reduction, living cost, business related( some people marry based on their symbiotic relationship from a business perspective ). Love is not required in a relationship, but is nice to have. Being said sexual relations isn't required in a relationship either, though most people do not understand this, even though individuals can be intimate in terms of everything else.

I'm not calling anyone a moron, if anything the incident shows how unprepared people can be in case of such accidents.

I know I'd be pretty much screwed if anything happened to my husband, so I feel for the guy.
But aside from sex, business, and tax reasons, my husband fell in love with me. I mean, my only income is my art. That won't pay rent.

I don't know these people, but I'm guessing love was indeed the reason they were together "for better or worse" and all that.
Most people don't find love like that, so making a "criteria" just seems to take the spontaneity out of romance.

Also, just to make sure you know, if I really want to interest people I just tell them I make 100k a year and they do line up. I've looks and money, in this economy(or with any planned relationship) people tend to look for security and stability. I know some people merely get together based on chemistry, there isn't anything wrong with such relationships, it's their decision. My criteria is based on a prospective mate getting together, with a long term plan on being independent. I know several, have dated several, most of which have become friends since not everyone gets the same feelings of obligation.

I do however have a sense of, "well I didn't see that coming!(sarcasm)," when I see events like this happen. Though again, people should obtain accidental death coverage, most people do not have this very beneficial coverage.

My condolences, I never knew either of them or you and Serp. I hope they rest well and you both heal as much as possible in time. Such loss is difficult on everyone and the turmoil of not having a home makes it worse. I wish I could do more for you both but all I can do is offer a hug. I didn't even know any of you and I've spent the morning shedding tears for this tragedy. I hope you find a place to stay and hope you have someone to lean on at a time like this.

This is the worst thing I've heard in a long time. I don't know what I would do if I lost my husband. I only hope you can find the strength somewhere in you to continue on. But it looks like you have at least hundreds of people to lean on if you need to, that includes myself.

My husband and I are Aussie furs and we did not have the pleasure of meeting you, Loki, Vex or Serpy prior to this terrible event, nor do we know any of you personally. But, from across the ocean, my partner's thoughts and prayers mirror my own, for both you and Serpy. We are truly sorry for your loss, and no words can take away the pain of this tragedy.

It is now that I wish we lived closer, that we didn't not live oceans apart, so that we could pay our respects, be a shoulder for you to cry on physically, be there for you and for Serpy.
Our condolences, our prayers, our thoughts, our hugs (however virtual) go with you and Serpy across the distance. My only regret is that we cannot be there for you, for Serpy, but know there are two Aussie furs with you, with Serpy, in their prayers and thoughts.

I know you don't know me, though in my life I have experienced much loss and pain. But, from what I can see and I hope you will come to see. You are not alone in this and I hope you will see as well that people love you very much. No one can truly understand what your feeling right now cause they are not you. Only letting your self open up to others can they truly understand and help you threw this time of need. Please find strength in the knowledge threw this experience you are learning.
I grew up with my dad telling me this one thing.

- I have only taught you all I have been taught, but I have not told you of what I have learned-

I never new what he meant till I grew up and experienced life on my own. It hurts some times when it happens but believe me, the pain makes us stronger for it. Like the Great Phoenix rises from the ashes, so you will too. You just have to believe.

I know I am a complete stranger to all involved... but I want to let you know that I deeply admire your love for Loki...
My cousin died in a similar accident about a year ago... the one thing that I was thankful for is that it was quick, and she didn't suffer through the pain... Please keep this in mind. She didn't suffer, and now, no matter what viewpoint you choose... she is free from pain.

I admire your will to live on for her. It's times like these that really make me realize that the fandom is not just of friends... we're all family here, and any one of us is willing to help out in another's time of need.

Stay strong, and know that you are loved by many, just as she was.

I know this is far too late to matter but reading this made me sob so hard. I am so sorry for your loss. Just seeing all the people who cared about this person just makes it that much harder to come to terms. I hope that life has been kinder to you my friend.
