I don't take cash through the mail. I've never had a good experience with it. The money usually gets 'lost' in the mail and both parties lose out. You may be able to do something via Western Union, if you have one of those near you. They're a money transfer system like Paypal, but you're basically sending a money order type thing through Western Union's system. I would get a notice in the mail saying that you've paid, and then I would have to go to the Western Union and pick up the payment. I've done W.U. transfers before, but I'd have to charge you a little extra to do it this way (about $10).

Ah crap. Its that much of a hassle for you? Well thanks for answering and getting back to me about the payment. I guess this means I wont be able to get a commission from you. And I understand where you come from about money being lost in the mail. It is pretty upsetting if that happens. Anyway, thanks again for getting back to me so quickly about my question. I hope that if I ever get paypal one day, I'll gladly commission you.

You could try sending in a cheque. If its written out to him and him alone then the mail people will have no reason to ‘lose‘ it.
