She enjoys portraying herself as a half-aware and dimwitted beast, drunken in the stupor of her own bodily composure.
[Not the actual beginning]
(he is interacting with Nigel)
Misfortune: Perhaps. Although there are many different ways to, how do they put it? "Test ones mettle?"
[narration]
Misfortune: Be brave, young nephil, and do not falter. Although I come at you with the power of many, I will apply but the strength of one. Are you ready? I've not danced in quite some time, you see...
{Game Concept}
This is a boss battle between Nigel and Misfortune. After the line above, Misfortune melts into the ground, saying "Bitter is the shadow of fear." He is preparing to attack Nigel from an unprecedented angle, but not before toying with him first.
[heavy narration]
New Additional Context
Misfortune: [after prior dialogue] But as easily as it is reconstructed, it is shattered. If you will kill, you must do so with an unclouded mind, lest you be swept away in its wake.
+++++
Misfortune: Strike with precision! Aim as if all the world were watching. Who knows? A spirit well-entertained may then come to your aid, if not to your harm.
+++++
Misfortune: You allow your mind a moment's rest. Because of this, you will die. Judge quickly. Has not your mother taught you this?
+++++
Misfortune: Energy ill-applied is energy wasted. A swift blow to riddle the foe, and a feint to taunt them. Abstain from predictability. Leave your opponent dazed!
+++++
Misfortune: No no... [*suggestive actions*] You must also measure the force necessary to topple your adversary. A useful tactic, if done with all proper abandon. You'll die much sooner thinking your enemy will easily back down from a bluff.
Nigel: A bluff?
Misfortune: Yes, because you LACK the elements necessary to intimidate... *he attacks Nigel again*
+++++
Misfortune: [in response to Nigel] Yes, and with any meritable effort you will have succeeded in gracing the surface of their PRIDE at best... *attacks Nigel*
Renewal: How did it go?
Misfortune: ...It was ridiculous.
Renewal: Oh?
Misfortune: It would seem that in all the days this boy has thrived under his mother's care, he has only ever known to observe - this, as though he were merely a blind spectator!
Renewal: Then he is not...
Misfortune: No, the boy IS weaned, yes, but he lacks the very fundamentals of a hunter! He drifts and questions so blunderingly!
Renewal: Then he is eager to learn!
Misfortune: NO Renewal...
Renewal: If not that, then what?
Misfortune: ...The child is blind.
Renewal: The child is young.
Misfortune: AND A FOOL! To think that the hopes of ANY should rest upon such a...a...
Renewal: Well that wasn't very appropriate.
Misfortune: What?
Renewal: Hasty judgements upon a nephil merely lost in his prime?
Misfortune: And what of it?
Renewal: How quick you are to forget the forays of your own youth. You've suffered no loss in arrogance, I see.
Misfortune: Spout out your rebuke, and be done with me...
Renewal: And had you listened to me you would know that I just did.
Misfortune: ???
Renewal: I'm sorry, I've left you with no grounds to counter from upon! Was the training session fun?
Misfortune: ...Curse this damndable body of mine...
Renewal: As I thought.
[My stopping point]
Renewal is a "religiotard" bigot. Pay her no mind. x3
Also, consider the fact that the bright green lesser angel who was trying to train Nigel in the first place gets weak in the knees whenever he stares at Sharon's big fluffy and naked wolven ass...
This one would convey, quote, "an endearing battle" between Nigel and Misfortune. It would be sort of like a training session, yet with brutal consequences for failure. But eerily enough, Misfortune would actually help Nigel just as much as fight him, through subtleties like keeping him on balance, or warning him of an incoming attack.
Visually, there would be many spiritual forces at work during this endeavor. Spectral beings who would taunt or beckon, all in furthering Misfortune's manipulation of the battle situation at hand. I want this to be a beautiful scene.
I have an old [colored text] story that features such visual imagery. You can find it here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4558174/
